A/N ~ Kelly Romanoff is basically Adelaide Kane because she's perfect. Yeah. Enjoy the first chapter of Seducers At Heart!

Her name is Kelly Romanoff. She is a SHIELD agent. She got recruited because of her sister, Natasha Romanoff. She is a scientist for the Tessaract project. And she is ruthless.

The reason she got called in to work on the Tessaract was mostly for Clint to have some company while watching Doctor Erik Selvig. Kelly had been the one to tell Jane that she wasn't needed for this project, Thor's beloved. Kelly had met Thor, once. But it seemed like such a long time ago, and she couldn't imagine what Jane must've felt. So Kelly sent her to the safest place she knew of, and a place where Jane would feel like she was doing something for Thor. An astronomy tower in Canada.

What she didn't know was that Clint would be compromised. It was a regular day, with Clint sitting in his nest and Kelly eating a banana next to him. She was talking to him about 'Tasha. What she was up to lately. Clint didn't know where she was, but he knew she was on a mission.

It was typical of 'Tasha to leave at unruly times.

Clint went down at Fury's demand, and she was left in his nest alone. She was unfocused when the Tessaract let out a bright burst of blue light, and she instantly went down on Clint's rope. "What's going-" she was about to ask a question, when a man stepped out of the black space beyond the blue light. She stood behind Clint, her head tipped in question to Fury.

He shakes his head at her.

The man looks up, his face contorted into a maniac-toothy smile. He has a spear in his hand, and old fashioned green robes.

She's instantly scared of him. "Clint," she whispers, grabbing the knife in the pocket of his uniform. He nods, grabbing his gun efficiently.

"Sir, put the spear down." Fury asks, his voice strengthened by authority.

The man looks straight at Fury before blasting the few officers who had guns pointed at him. Kelly screams, ducking for cover behind a random desk.

She looks up, slowly, to find most of the men dead on the concrete.

The man walks forward, to be met with Clint. He swings his arm up, the gun in his hand.

The man grabs it before it hits him, and says clearly, "you have heart." And presses the tip of his spear to Clint's left breast. Clint looks up at the man in green, his eyes turning a slow full black, and then ends up as a light blue. Like the light in the man's spear.

"Who are you?" She speaks shakily, scared.

"I am Loki, of Asgard." The man says angrily.

"Loki," Doctor Selvig states. "Thor's brother." He smiles up at Loki.

She fears for Doctor Selvig's life when Loki looks upon him. "Doctor-"

And Loki points his spear at Selvig, who looks at the god expactantly.

When Loki forces his spear upon Selvig, she throws the dagger she'd gotten from Clint's pocket at Loki.

Clint catches it before it hits Loki. "Barton!" She yells angrily.

His eyes are cold, his stance protective of Loki.

"You must be Kelly." The god says.

"It's none of your business." She states, her posture full of anger.

She spots Fury in the corner of her eye grabbing the Tessaract, and tries to stall time for him.

"Ah. Little Kelly Romanoff. How delightful," he grins sadistically at her.

Kelly narrows her eyes at Loki. "I've never met you before. How do you know me?"

Loki hums. "I wouldn't do that,"

Shit. Fury's been caught.

Fury looks back at Loki. "This doesn't have to get any messier," he offers the god an out.

"Oh, but it does." Loki makes a slight move with his hand and Clint shoots both Kelly and Fury.

She lets out a gasp, her leg gushing blood, and falls to the floor, kneeling. "This is your natural state," Loki whispers into her ear, and pushes her down so her back is to the floor. He leaves with Clint, Doctor Selvig, an agent that she didn't know the name of, and the Tessaract.

Kelly blacks out before she could get a word out.
