The New Bill Cipher

From Low Beginnings

Bill is once again, on the run. Not from the police, but from home. Bill, at age 14, is running away from home again. The reason behind it is because of his parents. They, just like him, are power demons themselves. Thing is, Bill has stronger magic than his parents. But the certain words they use make Bill's depression kick in. So he continues to run until it is pitch black outside, not a person in sight. He stops and takes a seat on the ground, panting and holding his chest. 30 minutes pass when the cops find him.

"Bill, come with us. We are taking you back home" one of the officers says.

Bill yells, "I don't wanna go back! Whatever my parents told you are complete lies!"

The cops eventually drag him back home and leave. His dad was over the top angry with Bill. He scolds Bill for running off while Bill is crying his eyes out.

"Crying again?! Seriously?! This isn't how Ciphers act! Ciphers don't cry!"

After a few words being yelled at Bill, his dad chains him up in the basement. The chains were tight around his ankles and wrists.

"So you want to cry, huh?! This is what damn crybabies like you get!"

His dad is constantly yelling at him while he continues to cry. After 5 minutes, his dad begins to beat him again. Punch after punch, slap after slap, kick after kick, Bill continues to get beaten and yelled at for the rest of the night. Morning comes and his dad stops as Bill sits there, beaten and bruised all over. He uses a healing spell on his bruises to rid him of the pain, but the bruises stay visible. His brother, Will, goes to check on him.

"Brother, are you okay?"

Will is a loving person with a heart of gold. He hates seeing his brother like this.

Bill mumbles, "Yeah, I'm perfectly fine. You don't have to waste time doing this."

As they both get ready for school, their dad comes and says, "Will, Bill, you guys are headed to a different school now. You both have to learn to use your magic, so I'm sending you both to magic school."

Will sqealed excited, but Bill just continued to get ready. He is preparing himself for a brand new experience, a brand new surrounding, a brand new... start.
