Chapter 3: New friends and new enemies

I look around and everyone staring at me like they never seen a person before. I look at Johnny and he was looking in the fridge for something. I decided to break the silence and speak.

"Hey guys, my name is Annie," I said while waving. I do not want them to know my real name it'll cause some reactions.

"Hey Annie, Im Nyarah and this is Aviana, Camari and Corinna, Effie, Gianna, and Mercedes," she says.

I make a mental note of their names. I also take a mental note of the difference between Camari and Corinna because if you didn't know their twins.

"Why bother tell her your names?" a girl said. "She's probably just another play toy Johnny brought here. I mean what does he see in her? She's ugly and looks horrible. I'm so much better," She says looking at me with disgust shown clearly on her face.

"Better at what? Selling yourself?" I mumble.

The girls that introduced their self-earlier laughs even Johnny chuckles a little. I look over at him. His gaze was already on me. I keep looking as if im challenging him but I think better of it and look away. That girl that was slut-shaming me was glaring at me if her eyes were lasers, I'd be dead.

"I like her," Mercedes says.

A chorus of "me too" follows. I smile and walk over to the island and sit waiting for Johnny to give me food. He walks over and sits beside me and I look at him expectantly.

"What? Why you staring at me like that?" he asks.

"Where's my food?" I ask looking at his empty hands.

"You really thought I was making it?" he asks while laughing.

"I'm the chef around here," the girl named Aviana said. I make a mental note in my head. "So, what do you want to eat?" she asks me.

"Can you make me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with strawberry jelly with strawberry milk? And if it doesn't cause any trouble could you add froth to the milk?" I ask while smiling.

"That's all?" she asks with a confused expression. "Nothing else?"

I shake my head no and she starts making my food. I watch as she makes it making sure she doesn't poison me. Hey, could you blame me? I'm a hostage. They might kill me and I may not know it.

She brings me the food and starts on my drink im very cautious and makes sure she doesn't sneak anything but milk and strawberry milk in my cup. I then think what if she put the poison in the strawberry syrup. She makes the froth and hands me the cup. I look in it and its stirred pretty good so I can't see anything. I smell the drink, but it doesn't smell toxic. I look up and they all staring at me.

"I didn't try to poison you if that's what your wondering," Aviana tells me.

"Ok, then drink some." I say to test it.

"Ok then," she says and takes my cup. I watch carefully as she drinks from the cup a huge gulp and she swallows it. I watch for a few seconds to see if it's really poisoned. Nothing.

I take the cup and drink from it and eat the sandwich. It was so good. I almost jumped in place. I finish eating and I drink the rest of the milk.

"Thanks for making my food Aviana," I smile and she takes my plate.

"Let's go back upstairs now," Johnny said.

I didn't argue because again mafia leader. I walk in the room and sit on the bed.

"Now sleep, I'll see you in the morning. I wont be here when you awake but I'll have someone outside the door so don't try to escape because then your dead," he says in a serious like manner.

I nod and he walks over to the bed and lays next to me. I lay down and he puts pillows in between us.

"My side, your side. Do Not cross this pillow wall," he says.

I just nod and close my eyes. It's been a long day and tomorrow is just going to be longer.
