It was the Octenio, that time of the cycle where everyone used to celebrate the sacrifice of the ones who wrote the Ancestral book. In the land of Bain, the was a beautiful girl, as white as snow, with hair as black as the night sky without stars, her big blue eyes denoted innocence, as any other child’s glance, her name was Denner-ra and she was from the land of Bain, her name could be translated to the Amhir as Dennis-ra, but her mother, Annelia the main summoner, would have preferred to respect Lectern’s language. The celebration was a coincidence, it was told that after the death of a choosen by Macn, god of light and universe, there was supposed to be a new born, and with this born the first place in the world would be protected and completed. Annelia new her child was gifted, although her child’s born has taken place three cycles after the death’s day of Sora, from Mali, the last chosen by Macn. But Annelia still waited the moment for Macn’s called.
At the land of Bain, the land of peasants, everyone used to look for excuses celebrate, the Octenio was not different, and such happiness and joy was from mouth to mouth. Annelia used to take her only child to every place with her. At the fifth cycle, every one formed a circle around the fire, and pray, in Lectern’s language, for all the chosen by Macn, and some of the chosen by Desu, god of darkness and death.
Denner-ra was a gifted girl, she saw things that other people could not even imagine. The Octenio was the perfect day for a call, but this call was not going to be from Macn, as Annelia hoped, Desu put his sight in Denner-ra since her birth day, and Macn respected that. Denner-ra saw the violet light, a beautiful light as a little firefly. Denner-ra doubted, she knew she needed to be close to her mother, but as well, she somehow knew she had to follow that light.
The light leaded her to where the moon saw her, and so could Desu. There was a moment of fear for Denner-ra, there was a moment of regret, she was only 7 cycles, and she was too young to know what was going on.
Annelia lost her child, she knew she should not have leave her, not even for a second, Annelia ran until she listened to no one, until she saw no one, and in her desperation, she invoked to the only one who could really take care of her child. She took the suitable papyrus and spoke the dark language. A purple circle surrounded her, a circle made with letters of the dark language, and only a few people could read it because it was a forgotten language. Desu listened to Annelia and told her it was impossible for Desu to do something for her child, sometimes gods had to lie. Annelia cried for her child, she was the only thing she ever cared about. Annelia knew the sacrifice, she knew the price for invoking a god; that was the reason why no one ever dare to invoke them; the price was the summoner’s life, and she was willing to give her life for her child.
Denner-ra kept walking, but the light had gone, she stood where the violet light disappeared and try to catch the non-existing light, but it was non sense, the light had gone, and she was lost, she felt plenty guilty, she had no idea no how turn back, she knew she was far away from home, but the light called her, and she needed to know what the light meant.
Annelia cried and then her last sigh was given, the circle disappeared, and Desu knew the sacrifice of that woman should not be in vain, she was not supposed to die, not yet at least, so he gifted Denner-ra with Annelia’s skill, Desu gave Denner-ra the facility of invoking, and Desu gifted Denner-ra with his mightiness.
Denner-ra fell on the floor, tired of walking and crying of guilty, she lost her mom, she lost everything she ever knew. She fell asleep on the floor, and then Desu made her forget everything, so she felt no more pain.
Close to the land of Bain, there was No’ri, land of papyrus makers and most of them powerful summoners. There was a man, whose name was A’da, by cycles he was considered as the most powerful summoner in the whole region of Iek. That night A’da had a feeling, he felt a call, he didn’t really understood, but he went out of his bed. Dreida, his wife had a felt too, but his husband told her to wait at home.
A’da walked on the direction of the wind, gods always lead you when you feel insecure – he thought. As soon as daylight approached, A’da started to think his feeling was just a confusion. He turned around, but the wind blew as hard as he could in the opposite direction. In that moment he understood that Desu send him, he could listen to the name of the thing, and this time he heard Desu’s name.
A’da ran, ran as fast as he could, and placed nowhere, in the middle of lavender fields the wind stopped, there was the place. A’da did not know what he was looking for, he was just there waiting for a sign. Blue butterflies went out of a spot. A’da carefully got close to the place. There it was a girl. A beautiful girl with skin as white as snow, and hair as black as night. She opened her eyes, a beautiful purple eyes, just as lavender fields. Her big purple eyes still denoted innocence. Dennis-ra was written in her hand with Lectern’s language. Denner-ra will be your name – A’da said.
The man took the child to his home. Desu knew that man was the one to take care of his child. Desu knew Dennera-ra was the new chosen one.
