I looked upon the landscape of dark rolling hills of tall and wild lush green grass to my left and then to my front, North of Allexiaa, was the Wishing Bones Forest. It was the biggest forest in all the lands with many aged trees that were thousands of years old. Mist hung in between the trees and clouds clung to the sky, covering the sun, making the land chillier and darker than it should be. To the right of me, the West, was the villages that went on and on for miles and miles, thousands of miles. They were scattered all over the place, hills, mountains, forests and rivers separating them all.
The journey to each village was dangerous and treacherous, everywhere, evil lurked, dark unimaginable things crawled, slithered, creep-ed, flew and prowled the lands. Everything in this world was questioned, because people turned on people here, any way to survive or live was done, even becoming traitorous to loved ones. The men and women of the lands lived in fear. They were definitely afraid of the creatures, but they only truly had to worry about those at night, and as long as you stayed in your village at night, you were safe. What they truly were afraid of... Was Queen Emelia. Which... Was me.
Each village had a protective spell around it, and unlike popular belief, that some kind and good soul of a witch casted a safety spell around it, that didn't actually happen. I laughed in amusement and bitterness. The truth was, I had casted those spells, though no one would believe that I had done so, so why not just let them think some good person had done it for them. It helped them sleep better at night anyways.
My cold skin began to warm and as I looked up and focused my eyes on the sky, I saw that the clouds were breaking for the time being. I grunted in approval and turned towards the castle to the South. I began my walk back to my home, the looming gray stones of it dark and shadowing. It radiated darkness, and that was the way I liked it. My eyes flickered over to right side of me to see my lizard like dogs following me. They had been hunting, their red eyes gleamed with hunger for blood and the chase, which was never truly satisfied. Their black scales shimmered under the breaking of the sun, their tall ears stood proudly on their narrow shaped heads.
I patted the alpha, Rouge, on the head, admiring the sharp scales as they cut into my hands, prickling blood, I let him lick it off, his long split tongue lapping it up before my hand healed completely. I smirked at him before my attention went back to my castle. My long slim blood red dress draped behind me as I walked barefooted among the grass.
"You know Rouge, that your pack should be more aware of things," I commented to him.
His red eyes glanced up at me, narrowing and he growled in disapproval.
"Today I caught one of your young eye boggling an older female while he was supposed to be guarding the front of the moat. So I threw him off the bridge and my fish ate him."
Rouge glared at me but suddenly let out a huff of amusement. He was fine with that. It was survival of the fittest, the strongest and the smartest, and if the pup couldn't do that, then he deserved what came for him.
As I reached the moat, I crossed the bridge, the wooden boards were wet and moist from the damp chilly air, but the sun should dry it up if it lasted long enough. I laughed in glee suddenly and began to skip towards the front gates as I saw Wilson, my favorite butler and leading war strategy man. He was always fun to mess with and torture, and he didn't seem to mind to much. He accepted it as it was and knew he could never escape alive, so he was okay with it all.
"Good-after-noon my Queen, how was your walk?" Wilson asked me formally, not looking me in the eyes.
I shrugged in a careless way and gave him a small smile, "Well it was pleasant, nothing crossed my path which did sadden me. But I'm sure that you heard that fish already got fed today?" I asked.
'Yes, my Queen, I had heard," he replied smoothly.
Wilson was dark to, he may not admit it, but he did enjoy pain and the gruesome way of life. That's why he didn't mind being one of the Queen's righthanded men.
"Should I feed the fish anymore tonight?" he asked.
"Nah, not today. They need to stay hungry or else they get lazy. No getting fat for them," I said, looking at my sharp nails that were like claws now.
Wilson dipped his head and gave me a bow as I waved a hand suddenly to dismiss him. I was bored already, I needed something else to do. I turned towards Rouge and nodded for him to follow. He was usually my personal guard and I did favor him out of all the others. If I was to admit that I trusted somebody at all, even just an inkling, it would be Rouge. He was a good and loyal creature who loved blood just like her.
There was someone I wanted to visit before I became to busy though and I strided down the dark and bare halls with Rouge at my side. His head reached the top of my breasts, and the tip of his ears were above mine ever so slightly. As I motioned for the current guard to open the big metal door, I walked in with a brush of my dress with my hand.
Looking in, I saw her. A woman sat in a chair, cold and contempt eyes that looked upon me with a frown ever set on her face. Her hair was auburn in color and wavy, shaping her round face nicely. She was pretty in a relatively simple way. She didn't look happy to see me as always and I chuckled.
"Hello Rachael," I said softly, a grin upon my face and malice in my gleaming in my ice blue eyes.
