~Cass~
I was just walking with my best friend Coral like we did every day when we saw it. Well, I say we were walking like we did daily. We weren't, kind of. We tried a new route today. That's how we walked past it. See, Coral and I are dyslexic. We can't read a thing. Until we saw the sign. Somehow, we could read that. It said: Camp Half-Blood.
"Cass?" Coral asked. "Can you read that?"
"Yes." I answered. "Maybe we should see what Camp Half-Blood means." I suggested. Coral nodded, and we made our way in.
"Hello?" Coral called out. Suddenly, laughter filled the whole area, like thousands of laughing kids our age were running towards us.
"Is this some kind of joke?" I asked. I knew they could hear me.
"Joke? Gods, no!" A voice laughed. Shortly after, an auburn-haired girl our age with green eyes came running into our view. "Sorry. The Stolls just played a hilarious prank on Drew. We were just running from her Beauty Queen wrath. That's all. I'm Lily Evans."
"Cass Salmon." I told her. "What does Half-Blood mean?"
"You can read that?" A boy's voice asked. I guessed it belonged to the blonde boy who appeared soon after.
"Surprisingly." I answered.
"Guess we should tell you then. Half-blood means half mortal, half Greek god or goddess. We judge it by who your Parent is. I'm Newt, son of Athena. Lily's a daughter of Hecate."
"Wait." Coral announced. "Greek gods and goddesses? They aren't real. People stopped believing in them years ago." Newt smiled.
"So they all say. You know Western Civilisation? That's how the Olympians travel. They move around to wherever they're believed in most. Sometimes, like they always have, they come down to Earth to... ah, mingle with mortals like my father, or Minho's mother. That makes demigods, like us. And, clearly, you two as well."
"So sorry about Newt's genius rants. It's a... child of Athena thing. I'm Katniss. Katniss Everdeen, Fire User and daughter of Hephaestus." A girl with a brunette side plait came walking forwards. "Sorry, what was your name?" She asked Coral.
"Coral Watson." She answered. The other demigods came forwards, with a swarm of introductions.
"I'm Rose Sparks. Daughter of Zeus."
"Minho. Son of Hermes."
"Thalia, daughter of Zeus."
"Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon."
"Clarisse la Rue. Daughter of Ares."
"Yeah. Don't mess with her." Rose warned us. Percy nodded.
"Nico di Angelo, son of Hades." I lost count of all the other demigod introductions. Suddenly, a bunch of random quotes began to play.
"Yeah. I think I'm the son of Poseidon."
"I definitely have strong feelings for you. I just don't know if they're positive or negative yet."
"Is it just me or is it raining cows?"
"My father is Poseidon." After that, Rose answered her phone.
"Hello?" She paused. "Yes, I'm Rose." Another pause. "Yes, there's new ones at Camp. Both girls." Rose paused again. "Cass Salmon and Coral Watson." Yet another pause as the other person spoke. "Um... Alright then. Sorry, who is this?" The other person spoke again. "Yes, well, I don't know if that's possible. Sorry. I wouldn't know how to contact their parents." Yet another pause. My guess was that they were telling her a way to contact our mums. "Right. Ok then. I guess I'll do that then. Goodbye, Mr Holmes." With that, Rose hung up. "Sorry about that." She grinned sheepishly. She looked at Coral and I like we were some kind of dangerous bomb, but only the gods knew why (wow... I was starting to talk like the demigod I now knew I was). So, Who Owns Who:@dreamsinmypockets owns Cass.I own Coral and Rose (the main character in my book Reality) ONLY.
