Rose's POV

Soft petals rained over me. The velvety showers had me arching my back with pleasure as I lay on the silky comforter. Tuberose essence wafted through the fresh air and, distantly, I could almost hear the sound of ringing bells.

It took me a second to recognize the feelings of lightheadedness and confusion. The translucent fog obscuring my mind.

Soul Trasmission. Someone had summoned me to a private realm.

My body felt light and weightless, something I had missed since the years of high school. The burden that sat wedged on my shoulders as a constant reminder of my dark past had vanished, letting me enjoy the pleasures of a divine being. I must have been naked, but I was too high to care.

"Roza?" I heard his voice, deep and sultry, taking my breath away. He sounded utterly stunned, which lit up a smirk on my lips.

"Missed me?" I retorted, turning to change my position on the cot. My mind was foggy, my eyes too relaxed to peek at him. I just knew I loved the things his presence made my insides feel.

"I cannot believe you're here," a hint of amazement innthat deep, limb-curling voice. A dark shadow loomed over me and I twitched at the rising heat.

"Neither can I," I muttered, frowning slightly. Why... why did his words make me uneasy? I couldn't pull my eyelids apart either.

Before I could voice out my discomfort, though, I felt large hands wrap around my waist. Righ, strong, branding his mark on my body.

A path of desire beneath my skin. I gulped and squirmed, trying to escape him, but my core was slowly melting under his fiery touch.

"W-wait," I stuttered. "Who are you?"

"Me?" He chuckled as he pulled me upright. "You tell me."

It took a Herculean effort to force my eyes apart. To met his blazing golden orbs flaring through the sockets of a black mask.

Premium whiskey. His eyes thawed the heavy fear in my chest, his sharp jaws and thin lips triggering my insides. His mask stopped at his perfect nose, sparking an urge to nip it. Tanned, gorgeous, mouth-wateringly...

"Handsome," I whispered, mesmerized.

He froze. I guess out of all the words I should be saying to a stranger, he did not expect that. But he couldn't blame me; my head was floating on a cloud right then. It had been years since a man affected me this way. The last time I felt my heart drop at a man, or men, was years ago-

His smirk stopped my train of thought. Something stirred deep within my belly.

"You still find me attractive?" he questioned, as he dropped to my neck and nipped at my collarbone. I gasped, white lights flashing across my vision.

"I would be blind not to," I moaned. My fingers trembled and I wrapped them around his broad shoulders. "But, who are you?"

Instead of an answer, he shoved me onto the surface beneath me and I had the first proper look at my masked abductor. My throat dried.

Holy Almighty. I must be in heaven.

Surrounded by tendrils of hanging foliage, a glorious Adonis gazed at me, lust apparent in his golden-brown eyes. He was tall, towering over me like a god, as he slowly unbutton the white shirt that was too sexy to exist. Large masculine hands, ones that could be gentle when he wished for it to, and a broad, muscled chest. He was ripped with bulky muscles in just the right proportions; neither too less nor too much. A very delicious line dipped into his low-waisted jeans. Staring at those strong, long legs of his, sins as dangerous as his body flitted through my veins.
