Chapter Fourteen "the fault in our stars"

Staring at Nick's photo , I was still stunned because of this photo "you can change in the bathroom" I heard Nick's voice come louder , I knew he entered the room now .

"What are you doing?" He asked me curiosity is clear in his voice , I cleared my throat "just looking at the photos" I was still giving him my back , I didn't know how to start the conversation .

"You were a friend to Eddie ?" I asked him , I found a picture of Nick and Eddie and some girl between them which I was sure it's Mia and Eddie smiling to the camera while Nick and Mia was looking at each other with a lot of admiration in their eyes .

Was Nick her secret boyfriend? .

I was sure Eddie couldn't have seen the photo or he would have known or did he know from the beginning but he told the guys that he didn't? the answers was with Nick who was still silent .

I turned around, looked at him in his eyes with a serious look , it was serious! , he cleared his throat "yeah but that was in the past" .

I raised my eyebrows "past?" I hated him that moment I didn't know why "why?" He looked away "long story" .

"Aww I can make time don't worry" I grabbed my phone and called Luke , after the third ring he answered "Emily?" He said in surprise of course asking why I'm calling him .

"Listen don't leave the restaurant stay another hour , I will be there at five , you lied to me and went on a date while I was in charge of the whole restaurant and I didn't tell uncle James so you better stay this fucking hour" I stated quickly , I wasn't in the mood to deal with Luke now , he was so annoying , how could he just stay silent while Eddie was dealing with all that that's not fair .

"Okay okay loosen up a little, you look like you're about to kill someone , hey if you're going to kill I won't tell the police you were here , I don't mind losing my job than dealing with the police, I'm warning you" he kept talking "okay okay bye" I kind of felt guilty , I shouldn't have threatened him but it was the only way.

I looked at Nick , who was staring at me shocked "give me the shirt" he looked at the shirt like he forgot that he was even holding it then he threw it to me .

"Do you want to talk here or somewhere else?" I asked him , he cleared his throat "no not here" I nodded "okay prepare the car and I will change here come on we don't have much time" .

He nodded slightly and got out , he wasn't even talking the last thing he said was long story.

quickly I changed my shirt.

I looked at the mirror , I looked homeless , Nick's shirt was way bigger than mine so it reached the middle of my tights , thanks god I was wearong a black leggings that made me look better .

And my hair was messy I need a shower I told myself and got out from the room while fixing my hair alittle with my hands .

When I got out , I found Nick already in his car , I went and sat on the passenger seat and he turned on the engine still silent .

We stayed like this until he broke the silence "you know everything right?" He asked me , where was he going with this ? "Know what?" His jaw tightened "don't play dumb with me , about Mia Eddie and Liam" .

His voice was angry and serious , and I gave him the truth "Yes" he glanced at me then went back to the road "then what are you want from me ?" .

"The truth" he stayed silent "and the story I know doesn't involve you but I think you are a big part in it " he sighed and stopped the car .

I looked around , he took me to the beach , we got out from the car and sat at the edge of the car "the first day Eddie came to the school , he sat next to me and we became friends, eating lunch together , hanging out with each other all the time .
