━━THE DATE with Paul went amazing yesterday, up until he started getting angry when Grace mentioned her having to go back to work later that night because her boss called her in. She understood why he was angry, but she couldn't say no unless she wanted to be fired and she just couldn't risk that. She had hoped he would've understood. He normally wouldn't have been angry about something like this, knowing her situation and all, but something changed this time. Sure, he had always been a hothead but this time something was different. He seemed way too angry over something as small as this. The next morning she had tried to call him, but he didn't answer leaving her to think he was still angry with her.
She left a couple messages in hopes of him deciding to answer, but she had no luck. The next few days were the same and so she decided to drop by his house to see if they could talk it out. So, there she currently was, in her car outside of his house nervous as crap. Her hands shook slightly and the fact that she has been sipping coffee on the way there didn't help at all.
Grace cracked her knuckles before opening the car door and stepping out, she didn't know exactly why she was so nervous, this was Paul. It wasn't like he was gonna slam the door in her face- her eyes widened slightly at the thought. He wouldn't do that, right?
She walked up to the front door and raised her hand to knock, but just before her hand could touch it, the door was opened from the inside and out stepped Jared Cameron. Grace held a confused look on her face, Paul disliked Jared with a passion, why would he suddenly be kicking it with him? Jared came to a stop when seeing her, he hadn't been paying too much attention to who could've been at the door, too busy with what was going on inside.
He himself was shocked to see her, sure he knew about her and Paul being together, hell basically everyone knew, but not everyone knew about what could or couldn't happen the moment Paul was to look into her eyes. One of the main reasons Paul had been trying his best to ignore her.
"Ugh" She tried to stop the awkwardness tension that was in the air, "Is Paul here?" She mentally slapped herself for that one, of course he was here. Its his home, his trucks out front, and Jared Cameron wouldn't have been there for his dad, at least she hoped he wasn't.
He smirked as if knowing how awkward she felt, "Paul!" Jared called out to his new friend, or well pack member? What ever they were. "Your girlfriends here!" He continued walking outside, Grace guessed he was probably leaving, but there wasn't another car...unless-
Paul came into view with his keys in his hand making it obvious he was taking Jared to wherever they were going. "Uhh, hey?" He said it in a questioning tone not looking anywhere on her face in fear that he might end up catching her eyes. "I didn't know you were coming here?" He shut his door and locked it before turning back towards her.
"Yeah," She hummed nodding her head "I probably should've texted you, but you weren't answering my messages or calls so" She noticed how he wasn't looking her in the eyes and gulped silently. "Are you still mad?" She asked him trying to catch his eyes, but still he refused.
"No, its not that-" He quickly told her, she smiled relieved though there was still something off about the whole situation. If he wasn't angry then why was he ignoring her? "Look I have to go right now, ill text you" Her heart dropped, she had hoped that this visit would fix the problem.
"Oh, okay" She mumbled quietly, looking off to the side so he didn't see her teary eyes. She watched silently as he walked past her to where Jared stood patiently waiting. Paul didn't want her to think of him as rude or mean, but he had more important things to worry about. Jared felt sorry for the girl, sending her a small smile and muttering a almost silent bye to her. He could practically hear her heart break as she watched Paul walk away from her. He might've never had a conversation with her, but he knew how much of a sweetheart she was and he would hate to be in her shoes at the moment.
"Did you really have to brush her off like that?" Jared asked him as they drove away from the house where a crying Grace sat in her car. "Shut up" Paul muttered clenching his jaw, "You wouldn't understand" the rest of the car ride to Sam's house was silent, both knowing that if mentioned more Paul would probably wolf out and they just couldn't have that.
Back at Paul's house, Grace sat in her car crying her eyes out over a boy. She just couldn't wrap her head around any of it. She knew she was probably being overdramatic, everything will probably settle itself out later she hoped. Finally calming down, Grace wiped her eyes and started her car, she had better things to do then cry in her car. Driving off she grabbed her phone, maybe a few more shifts at work will take her mind off of everything.
