You are not a piece. You are not a piece. You are not a piece!
Serena kept telling herself. But she didn't believe it. She was just a piece of some idiot's daughter. She wiped tears from her face and But her lip. She was going to die here. She couldn't save anyone, let alone herself.
I'm a failure. She thought to herself.
Molly walked with Amejisuto. She promised she'd help her find her sister, who was named Safaia. Amejisuto said she needed to find her, but she didn't say why. She seemed mad at her, and Molly didn't know why.
"Why do we have find you sister?" Molly asked. Her English made her cringe.
"That's personal business," and with that, the subject dropped.
A couple minutes later, Amejisuto stopped and cried out in frustration. She plopped onto the ground and looked up at Molly.
"I'm sorry I got you into this," She said, "I don't think we'll be able to find Safaia for a while."
"Oh, don't give!" Molly cried, "We find her soon!"
Amejisuto yelled again.
"THIS IS SOOOOO STUPID." All Amejisuto wanted to do was turn Serena and her sister into cards and rip them up and live happily with Yuri. Was that too much to ask for?
"We haven't go this way, no?" Molly pointed to a large door.
"My sister wouldn't be in there," Amejisuto said doubtfully, "That's Professor's office."
"It is good idea to checking, no?"
Amejisuto sighed then said, "I do suppose that that's our best bet right now."
"Then let us go!" Molly jogged to the door, with Amejisuto close behind.
Shun held his side, it hurt like heck. His head was pounding and his hands felt clammy and sweaty.
"Shun, get a hold of yourself!" Kite cried, shaking him.
"I don't think that's going to help," Edo observed.
"Did I ask you?" Kite snapped back. Edo shrugged as Shun gave out a groan. The two boys looked down at him with worry.
"Shun!" Kite said, holding him up, "You good?"
"Yeah..." Shun said, holding his head, "A little dizzy, but pretty good."
"What happened to you?" Edo asked, looking around the room they were in, "In fact, what happened here?"
"I can't remember," Shun sighed, "But I can vaguely remember Ruri..." He trailed off when he said his sister's name. He had been looking for her for so long, how could he forget something that had to do with her?!
Footsteps made the three jump. Kite set Shun on the ground and he and Edo got their duel disks ready but gasped when they saw who it was.
"Y-Yuto?!" They cried in unison. The boy smiled.
"That's me." He said, rubbing his eyes, "But... Do any of you know where we are? Weren't we just at the port...?"
"We're at Academia," Shun said to his best friend, "You were inside Yuya. How'd you-"
"Gah!!" Yuto fell to the ground, holding his head. His face was scrunching up in pain.
"Yuto!" The three boys cried. Kite ran to him and held his shoulders.
"Bud, are you good?" Edo crouched by Kite and starred at Yuto.
"I'm fine," Yuto slowly got up. He gave a wide smile then activated his duel disk. The three boys cried out in alarm, the two closest to him jumping backwards.
"What's gotten into you?!" Cried Shun, trying and failing to get up. Yuto simply smirked and drew his cards.
"Nothing," He said, "But a special little bug."
Serena's only thoughts were, "I'm a failure. I let down everyone I care about and now I'm about to be killed. I'm so sorry. I never wanted anyone to get hurt."
She couldn't help these thoughts. In fact, she didn't even think half of them were her's. She was pretty sure that her thoughts were beginning to merge with the other girl's.
She suddenly felt like she was being lifted by some invisible force, it's touch was like a kitten's fur.
"I'm going to miss you, Yuri." Were her last words, whispered into nothing.
Yuri slightly looked up, the dark and damp world around him was his own mind greeted him. He could of sworn he hear Serena in the distance. But a nagging in the back of his head made him look down again. It couldn't of been Serena, she was gone, or at least too far away for him to hear her.
"It was nothing." He murdered as his hand launched another attack at Yugo.
"But it was something."
A golden silhouette was now forming in the large machine. She could see everything. She could see the tears that the girls had cried. She could see Yuya curled in a ball in a cell. She could see Yugo dueling Yuri, she could see the true Yuri, trapped by the parasite. She could see Kite, Edo, and Shun trying desperately to get Yuto back. She could see Reira holding tight to Yusho's leg, she could see the duel between Reiji and Leo, going on and on and on. She could see Amejisuto and Molly running towards Leo's office. She could see Safaia walking slowly through the halls of Academia.
"Father, what have you done? You silly man, you cannot mess with fate or else fate will send her dog karma after you." Ray shook her head.
"What a silly man."
