"Nice to meet you darling" she says obviously faking it. " like wise Mrs Humphrey" I say back. Why the hell is deh being so nice to me? Weird. Maybe she's up to something. "Mother this is Cierra Monteiro. My personal assistant." He says with a smile. He is so bipolar. He was about to have my head on a stick just minutes ago and now he is acting like nothing has happened. "Uh excuse me ladies. I have to use the washroom." He says and leaves.
"Shouldn't you be apologizing to me now?" She asks
" I apologized when I bumped into you already but I will not apologize for what I said because YOU were the one that insulted me" I say frankly.
"Very well then. Tell my son that I left. I have a lot of errands to run." She says defeated. Ha! I win!
"Yes mam. Will do. And have a nice day." I try to be nice because I do not want to have a feud with my boss's mother. Probably not a good idea.
"Goodbye." She calmly says.
"Oh and if I were you Cierra Monteiro, I'd watch my back. You do not know what you got yourself into. Trust me." She says deviously.
Oh my God! What did I get my self into.
"Wow. That's pretty intense." Aurora says after I tell her about my encounter with Mrs Humphrey. "I know right! Ugh God help me." I pray. " don't worry chicka. You'll be fine. Am sure she's just bluffing. It's not like she's some kind of werewolf or vampire" she laughs and I join her. "Yeah. What can she do. Bite me?" We both laugh harder.
" girls it's time to dinner!" My mom screams from downstairs. "Coming ma!" And we both go downstairs.
We eat dinner and start chatting. " so sweetheart I have some news for you." My mom says nervous. What could it be? Now I am nervous.
" go ahead ma. What is it?" " uhm... You're dad is coming to town." She says.
Oh my God. Here we go again. I know you have been curious because I never mentioned my dad. The thing is that he is married with 3 kids now. My mom and my dad got divorced when I was 5. We were so close until he told me something on my 20th birthday that I didn't believe in and didn't wanna be part of for it was too dangerous. It is his job. He inherited it from his family. So that means it's obviously also in me. It might seem unbelievable because I don't act strange.
My father is a vampire hunter.
