He didnt though. He needed to make sure that's what both of them were hinting at before he did anything. Jay stood up and hummed. Theo's head shot up, being intrigued by the sudden movement.
She peaked out her window and smiled, there was distant yelling being muffled by the window. "Hey, Theo?"
"Hm?" She perched her elbows on the window sill and sighed.
"Do you ever miss being a kid?" He watched as her mood changed from excited curiosity to solemn regret. Theo pushed himself up and walked over to her. Her placed a gentle hand on her back.
"We all do. Trust me. Sometimes life isn't fair and we have to move on." She turned into his chest, catching him off guard. He wrapped his arms around her tightly and placed a gentle hand on the back of her head. He held her close to his chest.
"Itll be ok. I promise." She nodded and tilted her head up to Theo.
"Yeah. Yeah, you're right." She pushed herself off of him and smiled softly. Theo watched her, almost already missing the feeling of her in his grasp. Jay chuckled, looking over to a cloak on the wall.
"Well, its 6:30. Want to get food or just wait for a snack for later?" Theo thought for a second.
He didnt eat a ton of lunch due to those students. Dinner would be best on the stomach.
"Oh! Perfect! I can ask Lucas to get us Pizza!" She runs out of the room, leaving Theo to himself.
Man. Jay was all over the place! This was so new to Theo. He couldn't really comprehend it but, somehow, he thought it was cute.
This cold stoic young lady who's blind in one eye and who's been in a war can be as bouncy as a five year old hyped on sugar. Theo sat on her pillowy bed and laid back. Quietly, he sighed.
"I think I like her..." He sat up. Shocked by his own feelings.
"L-like her!?" His cheeks flushed. How!? I mean, sure they've been working together for the past few months but, how!? Already?! He started to become overwhelmed by all the questions he asked himself. He laid back, his hands covering his face. He closed his pine colored eyes and sighed through his nose.
Jay hummed as she walked back into the room. She sat on her bed, next to Theo. She placed a gentle hand on Theo's knee. She glanced at him and smiled to herself.
"Lucas said that the pizza should be here in about an hour." He nodded to her, giving her a sign that he listened.
"I have a record player here somewhere. Wanna listen to one?" She giggled and moved gracefully to her closet. Theo shot up.
"Record?" He sounded like a parrot repeating her. Jay smiled softly.
"Mhm, my records are in the second Desk drawer. I only....ugh...have a few."
