Michelle POV.

My parents don't appprove of me. They think I am an outcast. A bad kid. They are wrong. I may be bad at school, but I do have some good friends. I'm not a complete loner.

I was just finishing up my makeup when I realized the time. I was going to be late for school again. I didn't care, but my mom always hated it when I was late. She wants me to become a lawyer just like her, but that isn't ever going to happen. I'm failing most of my classes, and could care less. I got in my car and drove to school. "Hey, where's Curt?" I asked Eli, who was a pretty good friend. I didn't have any girl friends because they were all stuck up and just wanted to bang every guy in the school. Plus they all hated me, because I'm best friends with the guy they all drool over. Curt Swift. He was one of the hotest guys in the 12th grade. He had medium length dark brown hair with big blue eyes. He was a douchebag to girls, but not me. Ever since we decided together that we were going to drop out of school and become hobos with each other, we were the bestest friends.

My parents didn't like any of my friends. Especially Curt. I was always partying or sneaking off to do stupid things with him. I've gotten into a lot of trouble. My parents were always fighting with me. "He is right over there." Eli said pointing behind me. I walked over to him and greeted him with a grin. "Hey there you are! Michelle!" Curt said pulling me closer to him. "Yeah, here I am. What's up?" I asked blushing. "Oh yeah. I got some awesome vodka from my parents. If you wanna meet me in the alley tonight? We can have our own little party." He said smiling. I giggled a little. I loved hanging out with him but I knew well that I would have to lie to my parents. "Sure I will be there, 8'o'clock sound good?" I replied. He nodded and we went our separate ways to class.

Later that day, I got ready to meet Curt. I curled my brown hair into soft curls, and did my makeup in natural tones. "Hey, mom." I yelled trying to get my mom's attention. "Yeah, honey?" She yelled back. "I'm going out tonight...they are having a study group down at the library and I have a huge exam tomorrow." I lied. My mom hesitated for a moment. Almost as if she wasn't buying it. "....and you will be at the library and no where else right? You aren't lying to me about seeing Curt are you?" She asked in a serious voice. I was a awful liar. I did not know how I was going to get out of this one. "Yeah..." I said trying to sound confident as if that were the truth. "You are lying. No. I do not believe you. When are you going to tell the truth?! You are not going anywhere young lady." She said angryly. And just like that I ignored her. I grabbed my bag and ran out the door. My mom cannot stop me from doing what I want to do. It is my life not hers.

It was really dark out now. Without the street lights you wouldn't be able to see anything at all. I saw the alley and started down it. Something seemed off. There was a group of three guys huttled around something. I couldn't make out what they were doing. I walked closer and came to a sudden stop. These guys were not human. They couldn't be. They all turned and looked at me. Then I noticed something on the ground. It was Curt. "Curt! Are you okay?!" I screamed. But I got no answer. I got frightened. I started to run as fast as I could. I didn't know what those things were, but they killed Curt. More like, I think they ate him.

I was running and running. And then all of a sudden I ran into someone. A girl. "Oh my god. You have to help me! I'm being chased. These things...They...They ate my friend..Hes dead. And now they are coming for me. Oh please help me....." "Wait a minute..." I hesitated. I looked at the girl better, now under the street light. "You are one of them!" I screamed and went to run but she grabbed me and pulled me off to somewhere. "Let go of me! Right now!" I screamed in terror. "Hush! I'm not going to hurt you." She answered calmly. I did what she said. She took me to  a abondoned cabin. "You need to stay here until they leave. They will kill you, just like they did with your friend." She said locking the door behind her. "How do I know you won't kill me too? Considering you are one of them!" I said. She walked closer to me in the light. She had maroon red hair, and dead blue eyes. She was pale, and dead looking but she was pretty in a different way. I never seen anything like her. "I won't kill you. If I was going to, I wouldn't have brought you here, I could have just handed you over to the Brooks brothers." She said taking a seat next to me. "...Wh-what are you?" I asked curiously but scared of the answer I might get. "I'm a zombie. And so were they." She said unamused with my shocked faical expression. "Wow. But you don't look as scary as the zombies are in the movies."  "That's because they think we are horrible monsters, when we really aren't." She finished. Two other guy zombies walked in as she handed me a pillow and blanket. "Looks like you are sleeping here tonight. I'll make sure they don't come. You don't have to worry at all, you are safe." "Wait, they are good zombies too? right?" I asked hoping this wasn't a set up. "Yes they are just as good as I am. Now goodnight." She said walking into different room with them.

I laid down and fell asleep. Tomorrow is going to be interesting. I thought, as i drifted into a deep nights rest.
