Charlotte POV.

That was the first time I ever got that close to a human. It was strange. I always pictured it differently but she didn't seem like a normal human. Which in this case, was good. I couldn't let the Brooks brothers get to her. She looked perfect there sleeping. She has soft brown hair and pale skin, but not nearly as pale as mine. I could see why the Brooks brothers would want her. They usually pick really pretty girls. They didn't always kill humans. If they thought the human was use to them, they would turn them to help their army out. I don't know what use she would be but something about her was different than any other human.

"Charlotte, why is there a human in here?" Daniel asked starring at her. "I don't know her name. But I saved her last night. Beau, Luke, and Jai would have had her for dinner if I wouldn't have. You know how they are." I said walking over to him. "Oh yeah. Well you should wake her up and get her out of here. You know we aren't supposed to be close like this to someone like her. Only if we plan on killing them. If the elders find out. You will be in so much trouble and then, James and I would be screwed as well." Daniel said seriously. I nodded agreeing with him. But I didn't want to wake her. She looked so peaceful.

Just then James walked over to her and woke her up in a harsh manner. "James! Leave her be!" I said quietly. He didn't listen to me. She got up rubbing her tired eyes. It didn't even look like she ever went to bed. She still looked as if she did last night. I could never look that perfect, especially because I'm well dead. I knew I should get rid of her, but I had a feeling she wouldn't be safe if I did. The Brooks brothers knew what she looked like, and I knew they would be searching for her tonight.

"Good morning!" I exclaimed cheerfully. She smiled. "Morning! Um..you wouldn't happen to have any kind of food here that I can eat?" James laughed. " Are you kidding?! Why would you even ask that? The human race is so clueless." He finished. James was being awfully rude to her. I've never seen him rude to a guest before. Then again. We never had a human guest before. I was thankful Daniel was quiet and not backing him up for once. "I can find you some food. Please excuse James." I said to her. She got up and walked over to me. "So um..about last night.." She started and paused. " I just wanted to say thank you..for saving me. My name is Michelle Brighton by the way..."  "You are welcome, Michelle. Oh yeah. And I'm Charlotte Leeding...Other there, that is Daniel. And the zombie that was being rude, yeah that is James." I said pointing to Daniel and James. I then, gave Michelle directions to the nearest place to get food. I couldn't take her, if I were seen it would ruin everything.

After Michelle left the Brooks brothers came pounding on the door. I had no idea why they were here. They didn't see me take her last night. But if they would find that out, they would kill me for sure. Daniel answered the door calmly. "Well, well well. Look who it is." He said to them. "We came to talk to you." Beau said. "What do you want? We don't have all day." I said bitterly. The Brooks brothers were always up to no good. They had a evil army of zombies, and wanted to start the apocalypse.

"We need you to join us." Jai said. "Oh absolutely not!" I said jumping to my feet. James could tell I was getting angry and knew if I would have an outburst they would end it right there. He came over and calmed me down. "Thanks." I whispered. "You have to join us. You three are some of the best zombies we have. We could go so far with you guys. Can you imagine? Us being in control. Not the humans. Not having to be careful about every move we make!" Luke said getting excited. They couldn't actually believe we would join them. That was crazy. So many innocents would die. Barely anyone knows about us. Daniel, James, and I all thought things should just stay the way they are.. I was getting ready to tell them to get lost but I heard a car door slam. Michelle was back. What was she doing back this early? Beau, Luke and Jai sensed her. They looked at me. "You." Jai said. "You, are the one who took her last night. And look, brothers, she brought her back for us." Luke finished.

I pushed my way passed Beau, and headed outside. "Michelle!" I screamed. She looked even more frightened than last night. I grabed her and ran into the emergency cellar. "What on earth is going on?!" She exclaimed. "The Brooks brothers. They are in my house and they know I have you. They are going to try and kill you. I need to get you somewhere safe." I said pushing through boxes. I could hear them coming after us. But I knew Daniel and James would slow them down. Even though James wanted her gone, he would fight to keep us safe.

I locked Michelle in a special room. They shouldn't find her there, but you never know with them. As the brothers entered the room, I stood on the other side where she was in silence. If they find her, I would feel awful. Usually zombies don't have feelings, but I wasn't like the zombies like Beau, Luke and Jai. It felt as if I was human but stuck a zombie.

"I know you have her." Jai said walking close to me. I didn't know what to say back. I couldn't lie. They saw me take her down here. I just stood there starring at him. "Tell us!" He demanded. But I still did not give him a answer. Beau and Luke were looking at the door of the room I locked her in. A sudden shot of panic ran through me. They know shes in there. If they didn't they wouldn't be studying it so hard. "Charlotte. What is in this?" Beau said pointing to the door of where she was. "That? Oh yeah um..that just has boxes of storage junk in it.." I said trying to sound as convincing as I could. "Open it and show us." Luke demanded. When a minute passed and I didn't respond Jai added. "Do what he said. Now. Show us." He took my arm and pulled me towards them. I was going to have to open the door up. They would see her and then it would all be over. They would kill her, and then me. Hopfully they would spare Daniel and James. They didn't have anything to do with this. It was all my mess.

I unlocked the door for them. I didn't bare to go in. I couldn't look at her one last time. All three of them walked in.  A moment passed and they walked out scratching their heads. What? Where was she? I looked in and didn't see her. Then I studied the room a little longer. She was hidden behind a series of boxes. Very clever. Anyone would over look this. I sighed in relief. "See. Just boxes of storage junk." I said confidently to them. Jai looked at me as if he knew I was lying. It didn't matter because now they were leaving and were going to drop it for now. But I knew they would would be back. I had to get her out of here. I got her out and went to see how Daniel and James were. There was a new scratch on them. Of course they had scratches, but they were zombies, that was natural but they didn't have anything new. Amazing. I don't know how they took on all three Brooks brothers.
