Sunday Night Ochako POE:

Once we drove back to our house, we unpacked and had to go to bed. We hadn't gotten home till 6 in the afternoon! I was so tired, after we ate dinner I decided to go to bed early. But it never came, my brain said go to bed but my body disagreed. It was like having an internal war, I was becoming more restless. I ripped the covers off me and stood up to look out my window. The sunset was beautiful; wait sunset!?

"Oh no, oh no, oh no.", I mumbled to myself, I was going to shift! How was I going to get to the beach? I imagined the beach a maybe a quick route to get there, but it was no use. Frustrated I opened my eyes back up to find myself at the beach? I'm so confused, and then I saw the 3 sirens from earlier.

"Hi!", Zillia said gesturing to me to come over to her.

"How did I get here, I live an hour away?", I asked her, still stumped.

"It's part of being a siren, how else do you think we've survived in secret for so long?", Willow said coming in behind Zillia in the water beaching herself.

"I have a question", I said out of the blue, "Do you know a good way to keep a secret?", I got a couple looks from them, the main look practically saying No Duh.

They explained to me that there was one last perk to being a siren, the hypnotic voice is used to lure in people but if you have enough control you can use it for mind control. But it can only be used once a day, if  you have enough control to do so.

"Be careful though, everything has it's consequences.", eerily said by none other than Pearl.

Like does she want to scare me?

"What do you mean by that?", I asked her.

"Well hence on control, if you don't have enough control and you try to do it. Let's just say it reveals one's darkest secrets.", grinning like a sly eel Pearl looked at me with her eyes wild!

What's up with this siren, she's freaking me out. But after that thought I realized that they would definitely figure out I'm under the Siren's Curse.

I began to mumble to myself, slightly panicking, "But what if they figure out I'm a siren, what if they take me away, what if I never see my family or friends again?!", I was kinda losing it.

Then I felt a hand on my shoulder, it was Zillia and Willow was looking at me.

"You'll be ok, not every human hates our kind.", Willow said her voice like silk.

"Just 98% of them.", Pearl commented.

"Shut it Pearl.", Zillia said with venom lacing her voice.

"Whatever", Pearl said rolling her eyes making her way back into the water.

"Ignore her she has a thing against humans.", Zillia told me in a hushed voice.

Later that night they took me out and taught me how to absorb the souls, I was surprisingly a natural at it. But it just made me more worried. When I had to look into that person's eyes before I was going to take their soul I just couldn't.

"I can't!", I yelled. "I can't take away the soul of an innocent person!", I sobbed releasing the man from my trance. "Please there has to be another way!?", I said still sobbing.

"I'm sorry Ochako.", sympathy filled Zillia's voice.

"Just give it time, you'll learn to hate humans enough in time.", Pearl stated looking into my eyes. I continued sobbing to myself quietly.

I heard Willow say something under her breath.

"What'd you say?", I asked her.

"Nothing it was just a dumb idea.", she said.

"Please if there's another way.", I said softly

"Well sirens can't technically die from not eating souls. But they become mentally insane, but I heard about this siren that was able to survive not eating souls but a special kind of sea kelp for a long time.", Willow avoided eye contact with me.

"Can I meet her, maybe she can help me?!", I asked with hope in my words.

"She's gone.", Pearl said. Sadness filled her eyes.

"How?", I asked very sincerely understanding if they didn't want to talk about it.

"She was my sister, and she was taken away. Those stupid humans took her! She was trying to befriend them, but she was delusional.", there was a long silence.

She started up again,"They took her and experimented her. They starved her from any sort of souls at all and she lost it.", she paused. "She couldn't handle it anymore and broke the device blocking her voice. Then there was a loud gunshot rinding in the air and;" her voice cracked. "She. . . Sh . . .she was gone. . . . ."she was holding back the tears but her eyes said everything. I didn't know what to do but I hugged her, she was shocked but didn't push me away.
