"Yo!" Charlotte banged her fist on my door. I sighed, setting my pencil down on my desk and leaning back in my chair. What now? I thought. I stood, stretched, pushed in my desk chair, and opened my door, glaring down at my sister.
"What do you want?" I hissed. She put her hands on her hips, looking at me like I had done something bad.
     "Someone's grumpy," she said.
"I'm trying to work," I replied. "Now hurry up and tell me whatever you think is so important that you have to bang on my door like an idiot," She rolled her eyes.
"You remember your old high school friends?" she asked me. I looked at her confused.
"Of course I do," I said. "Why?" She smiled, then grabbed my wrist, dragging me out of my room and downstairs to the living room.
"Ta-daa!" She let go of my wrist and waved her arms at a group of people on the couch. I gasped.

Arthur. He was so much taller now. Did he finally get his braces taken out?
Freddie. Her hair was longer now. Her aesthetic changed a lot. Jeans? She used to hate jeans.
Leon. He was. . . more charming now. He still seemed just like his old crazy self, though.

They were all playing a video game on the television. "I'm gonna kick your ass!" Freddie shouted at Leon, nudging him. He just laughed.
"You can try," he said. "But I always win!" In one smash of a button, the game was over. Both Leon and Freddie lost. They stared at Arthur, who was flushing with embarrassment.
     "You--" Leon started.
"How did you beat us?" Freddie barked at him. Arthur knew he should've let them win. They were both competetive, but he was such a game-geek he couldn't even pretend to be bad. He just looked away and chuckled to himself.
"Your mediocre playing is amusing," He faced them again and smiled. That triggered them both, causing a pillow fight, except Leon and Freddie were teamed and beat up poor Arthur.
     "Mediocre playing, huh?" Leon laughed.
"This is sad," I muttered to Charlotte.
"Yeah, but you were friends with them, not me," she laughed. I ruffled her hair and joined in unexpectedly, helping Arthur fight off the mean bullies. Leon and Freddie froze. I slowly came to a stop, my laughter fading.
"What?" I looked at them both, their jaws dropping to the floor.
"Selene!" They both cried in unison, hugging me.

"Hah, I missed you, too." I smiled.

(Sorry that this story was so short and boring :( but the next part will probably be better.)
