At the hospital.

Regina, how's my wife.
Is she okay?, What about kasarachi, is she back yet? Have you heard from her yet?
Is the police aware?

Aunt Gee-Gee just stood. She didn't know which question to answer first.
Just then, her phone beeped.
She received a message from an unknown number.

Ahh! Kasarachi was abducted.
Oh my God. But thank God she managed to escape.
May God watch over her wherever she is. I'll report this to the police tomorrow morning.
Just then the doctor walked towards where they stood.

Doctor, how's my sister? I hope she's okay.
Yes madam. She's much better now.
He Blood pressure was higher than normal but now it had normalized. She was over thinking. Please doesn't need anything that would stress or overwork her. Also, she needs to take her drugs on a daily basis.
Bp drugs is something that has to be taken continuously. If she doesn't take it she'll be endangering her life. The doctor said.

Thank you so much doctor. Dad said as he shook the doctor.
Here's the list of drugs she'll need.
I suggest you buy her a bp apparatus. An automatic one so that she can use it  to be checking her Blood pressure on a daily basis.
Okay, thank you so much doctor.
Alright, I have other patients to attend to. The doctor said before he left.

Regina you look stressed out. Are you hungry?
I'm not.
Are you sure?
I don't have appetite to eat, my niece is missing, my sister isn't feeling well and you expect me to eat. She raised a brow.
I understand, I'm just worried. Let's get some food for yourself and my wife.

Dad and Aunty Gee-Gee went outside the hospital to buy some food by the roadside for Mom and themselves.

Dan.
Yes.
What made you kick your wife and daughter out of your home?
Yes, you had a fight and all i don't want to know what happened. You got offended or whatever I agree.
But even at that, your decision was too drastic.
You didn't consider the fact that it was almost midnight, you allowed your wife and only child to walk out of your home at that deadly hour. Amanda
took the risk and left that
night, not minding the possibility that something bad might happen.
Now tell me, assuming something bad had happened to them?. What would be your reaction....?
You didn't even care about the welfare of your only child Kasarachi.
These past few years has been tough for them.
Why can't you fight for you marriage to stand firm.
If you didn't love my sister then why did you marry her in the first place.
I'm not begging you for my sister but for my niece kasarachi.
She needs a father at this age, if not for anything but for the sake of your daughter's happiness.
I know how much she yearns for you. She's always sad and depressed, always alone.
I think it's best if.... Dad cut her short

Regina.
I must confess. I've been regretting my actions ever since they had left.
I tried calling Amanda but she didn't respond to any of my calls.

Since then I wasn't sure if she will willingly accept to come back.

Oga wetin you wan buy? ( What do you want to buy)
Rice dey, Garri dey, Semovita dey...which one you want make I bring. The seller asked in pidgin.
Madam, I need three plates of jollof rice
You get salad? (Do you have salad)
Yes e dey.
Okay add salad and pomo for the rice

Madam how much is everything
Oga na N950

Well have you tried talking to her recently. Do you Know if she'll have a change of heart. Aunt Gee-Gee asked in a questioning tone.
No I've not. Dad said.
If you're really ready to win back the heart of your family, you should be persistent. Aunt Gee-Gee said as she collected the food from the Lady.

Do you think she'll listen this time?...Dad asked while bringing out his wallet from his pocket.
I'm not so sure, but give it a try. Who knows she might agree this time. Aunt Gee-Gee said.

He took some money from his wallet and paid the Lady.
Madam, you can keep the change.
Ahh! Oga God go bless you for me. The woman replied in an excited tone.

***

Amanda. Oh my, thank God you're okay. I was so worried about you.

Where's kasarachi, have you found her? Is she okay?, I want to see her please.

Shhhhh!! Don't over work yourself.
I received a text from her. She was abducted but she managed to escape.
I'll call the Director Of Police, first thing tomorrow morning and tell him about it. Meanwhile there's someone who came to see you.

Who's that?. Mum asked with a Stern look. I don't want to see anybody but my daughter.

Dan came to see you. She said.
Why, what for...tell him to go back to his mistress or whatever.
I don't want to see him.
Why?. Aunt Gee-Gee asked.
Don't you want your home back?. Are you happy with the situation of things in your family?. Aunt Gee-Gee asked with a frown

It's alright, I'll tell him to go. Meanwhile here's your food and take your drugs.
You'll be discharged the day after tomorrow.

Aunt Gee-Gee stood up to leave, but Mom held her hand and she turned.
Regina.
Thank you.
No need to thank me Sis.
We're family and we need to care for each other.
I'll be back.

Did she agree?. Dad asked.
No she didn't. I think she needs time.
She's been through a lot lately. Please Dan, don't give up. I know I'm a failure when it comes to relationship stuff, I don't have the best advice to give but please do this for my niece.

It's alright.
I'll keep on trying.
I'll follow you to the police station tomorrow. Dad said.
Okay I'll call you when I'm ready. Aunt Gee-Gee replied.

Bye.
Aunt Gee-Gee waved Dad goodbye as he drove out of the hospital.
She hurriedly made her way back to her sister ward to se if she needed anything.

Amanda, Do you still love Dan?. Aunt Gee-Gee asked.
Regina, stop asking me such questions please. I want to rest I'm exhausted
When am I going to be discharged?. The doctor didn't mention when. I ask him tomorrow.
It's okay I won't ask you any questions anymore. Please rest and regain your energy. She kissed Mom on her forehead and went to sit down on the sofa close to the bed.
