"Really you think so?" Ray asks surprised, I nod my head as she continues "but what if it turns out to be a myth after all?" I smirk at her holding my shoulders high, to show that I'm confident, though on the inside I'm not.

"when has that ever stopped you? Come on this could be an adventure of a life time!" I hoped that worked, she never turns down an adventure, especially one with me. "I- um I-" my shoulders deflate, I guess I was wrong.

She mutters something I don't hear so I look up at her. "What'd you say?" Her cheeks heat up, I tilt my head to the side curious "um I- I don't want to leave...Landon," my eyes widen, I definitely wasn't expecting that to be the reason. Uggghhh people and their relationships so annoying! With the click of my tongue I shake my head.

"I'm sure he'll want to help too,"

"So he can come?"

"Only if he wants to,"

"Okay I'll go!"

I do a mental fist pump in my mind one down five to go

"Great! Let's go talk the others into going," I say grabbing Ray's wrist and pulling her along with me.

We go up to Aria's room and bang on her door. She angrily opens it and we are both kind of startled by her red and baggy eyes, she looks sick. "What is it?", she nearly yells at us. Ray and I look at each other obviously thinking maybe we should wait until morning to tell her.

"Ummm-" Rays says. Aria looked at us with the eyes of somebody who couldn't believe that two idiots were bothering her. So I just spitted it out, "Ray and I, and probably Landon are going after the artifacts. You can come with us. You know how we get to go on adventures with Dad sometimes? Well it'll be like that, kind of. And we could really use your abilities on our trip. Please please come with us, if you go, Dad and everybody else will probably be okay with it, please!" I practically beg. I don't ever beg Aria unless I need a huge favor. Her eyes still had the look of the two idiots and now her whole face said she didn't believe us.

"You can't be serious? How on earth are you going to survive out there? There's no way Dad can come with you, he has to watch over stuff here!"

"We're going without Dad Aria", Ray says quickly.

"And let me guess who was the smart one who came up with this." She looked at me.

"So what", I say defensively.

"Emira you've been dying to get out of here for ages, how do I know this isn't just someway for you to go on some adventure."

I opened my mouth to retort but it stops short. Why would she even think I would do something like that in a time like this, even if that was partially the reason. I found my voice and said, "That's not the reason why I want to do it!" I partially lied.

"Uh huh sure Emira." she said.

Ray asked, "Emira be honest is that the reason?"

I looked them both in the eyes in disbelief, when did I become so easily read.

"Okay what if that is partially the reason? Ever since Dad's last trip with Ray, Dad hasn't let us go anywhere, okay! The bigger reason is I want to help our people" I caved.

Aria looked at the both us back and forth, "and what if we fail?"

"Then at least we know we tried." Ray said.

I could tell Aria was thinking it over. "Okay, I agree, but Dad's never going to agree to it. Especially with this curse and the possibility of war. He'll also be protective because obviously something happened last time him and Ray went on a adventure."
