The two of them had been living together for awhile, since Betty's twentieth birthday. It had been two years since then and they had taken their relationship extremely slow. Both of them had settled into their new jobs, Betty had gotten a job at Gringotts and James had gotten a job working with his Uncles at Weasley's Wizard Wheezes.

James on his way home from work had walked by a restaurant where he saw a couple getting engaged and that's when he realized he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Betty. He ran the opposite direction to where he knew a jeweler was. He bought the one he knew she would like and he hurried home.

He had gotten there before Betty had, like usual. So he set up a dinner, making her favorite, which was easy since her favorite was Kraft Mac and Cheese. He put the ring in his pocket and set the food on the table just as Betty entered through the door.

"You would not believe the day I've had..." She looked around the room and saw that James was sitting at the table with her favorite meal. "You did this for me?" She asked as he got up from his spot to give her a kiss.

"Well, yeah. I figured we needed a good night together." James said as he escorted Betty to the table.

Betty was a little confused, "Is there a reason why you made me dinner tonight?" She asked with a smile.

James hummed and started to eat his food. "You'll just have to wait and see."

In the middle of the meal James had pulled out the ring and the two had become an engaged couple.

Almost a year later it was their wedding day, and Betty was in her dressing room, panicking. "You'll be fine okay, it's not like you need flowers at a wedding."

"Ok but what if the flowers represent like a terrible marriage, no flowers no marriage!" Betty ranted.

Inez stared at the bride, "Do you understand how crazy that is?" She sighed, "I know you and James have had issues in the past but I believe in him now and I am an excellent judge of character. And I know the both of you will have an amazing life together."

Betty was repressing some of her tears as she gave her best friend a hug. "Thank you!"

"Now come on it's time for you to get married."

Betty had gone down the aisle with her father by her side. She smiled when she met eyes with James.

She was barely listening to a thing the officiant was saying, only focusing on James. He had happy tears in his eyes as he looked at her.

"Now it's time for the Vows."

James was going first, they had both wanted their vows to be just between them. But during the ceremony they would say their own variations.

After the wedding and the reception the two had made it back into the church together to share their real vows.

"James, I have loved you for the better part of eight years. And through all the terrible times a part of me knew that we'd always bounce back together. I love you, and I always will."

James had smiled, "Betty, I'll love you until the end of time. And I know when I was young I made a lot of terrible choices but you were the best choice I made when I was young and knew nothing."

A light chuckle from Betty echoed, "You know you're really cheesy right?"

"The cheesiest" He said back giving her a kiss.
