---Flashback: Commander POV---

"You there!" The instructor called out, pointing towards a short dark haired male cadet who looked up at him.

"Yes sir?"

"Where is your ship cadet? You were told to meet here together to be given orders for your operation were you not?"

"Yes we were sir but my ships is uh..."

"Your ship is what? Spit it out!"

"She's sleeping in sir..."

Upon hearing the cadets words the instructor looked up with a confused expression.

"So she needs her beauty sleep is that it?" The instructor then asked again in a condescending tone.

"W-Well I um..." The cadet stuttered unable to get his words out as he struggled to string a sentence together.

The instructor let out a sigh at this sight and leaned in close to the cadets face before yelling.

"Go and get your ship and report back here immediately!"

"Y-Yes sir!" The cadet responded, running off in the direction of the dorms in which his ship was located...

---Long Island POV---

Long Island let out a yawn as she slowly rose from her bed and glanced out the window beside her, seeing that the sun was fully out.

"I've got five more minutes..." She muttered as she reached over and pulled the curtains closed, snuggling herself back under the covers of the bed.

*knock* *knock* *knock*

"Long Island! Are you in there?!" The cadet yelled as he hurriedly knocked upon the door. Long island recognized his voice as that of her new commanders, pulling the covers over her face.

"Please come out, if you don't the instructors are going to punish me again I think..." He added, trailing off as he realised that he might not get a passing grade at the academy due to things like this. He let out a sigh as he looked down at his shoes, his mind beginning to wander.

Upon hearing his voice turn to one of slight distress Long Island pulled the covers off herself and walked over to the door opening it slowly.

As she did her Commander heard the door shift and looked up to see Long island in her usual uniform, looking down at the ground slightly, holding a hand up to her face as a nervous expression covered her face.

The Commander noted her expression as he turned around, quickening his pace as she followed behind.

"I'm sorry..." She almost whispered, still holding a hand to her face as red rose to it slightly. Embarrassed that she'd basically made her Commander come and get her for their operation, something that could have serious ramifications for him.

The Commander let out a short sigh before looking back at her over his shoulder. Seeing her slightly red face and nervous expression as he replied.

"It's alright, I'm not mad at you or anything"

"Ah..." She muttered with a quiet tone.

"Thank you..." She whispered, intentionally quickening her pace so that she was just beside him as she spoke, ensuring he heard her.

---Flashback End---

"The more they stay the same..." The Commander said with a chuckle as he rose from his bed, finding it interesting to be dreaming of such events from his and his now secretary ship's past.

After stretching for a moment he stepped into the bathroom and prepared for the day.

---Timeskip---

As he stepped out he slipped on his hat and coat and headed towards the mess hall for breakfast.

"Good morning Commander~"

"Good morning Hornet" The Commander replied as the pair passed in the hall.

Soon he reached his destination and was greeted by a not so surprising sight.

"Not here again..." He muttered as he noted that Long island was nowhere in sight.

Pretty much everyone on the base was at the mess during this time eating and enjoying their last bits of off time before the day started, however Long Island was a special case...

"Guess you better wake her again Commander~" Hornet then teased, slapping the Commanders shoulder as she walked by with a plate of food in her hands with a loud laugh.

He chuckled slightly at this as well and turned around and headed off towards her dorm.

*knock* *knock* *knock*

"Long Island?" He asked, not expecting an answer.

"Come on, you need to get up and eat at least" He added, opening the door slowly. As he glanced inside he saw her unsurprisingly tucked under the covers of the bed.

As the Commander walked over he pulled the covers back and caused her to gasp in fright as he looked down at her.

He then burst into laughter at her reaction.

"Commander! What are you doing in my room at this time of night?!" Long Island asked with a confused expression.

"Uh... It's morning" He responded, opening the curtains and letting light into the room.

Long Island held her hand up to her face as she removed the earpods that had been in her ears as she played games on her handheld basically all night...

"Don't tell me..." The Commander spoke slowly.

"I might have..." Long Island responded with a slightly guilty expression.

"But I only just got this game and it's been so much fun!"

The Commander once again chuckled at her response, waving his hands in front of her as she went off on a tangent.

"Alright, alright~ But are you going to come with me to get some breakfast then?" He asked, outstretching his hand towards her to help her up.

She blushed slightly at this action and took his hand lightly.

"I suppose I could..." She muttered as she let his hand go and they started to leave the room.A loud grumbling noise could then be heard emanating from her stomach.

"Someone's hungry~" The Commander teased as she locked the door behind her.

"Shut up~" She responded with a slight giggle.
