One Month Later..Khushi had avoided coming to this house till now , this place held memories of Arnav and she wasn't ready to revisit them . Yet her sister happy news meant the Gupta family had to visit in person .
Today morning , her papa got a call from her sister and told their parents the good news , Khushi was going to be an aunt soon and her mind should be focused on the said happiness instead she was nervous and worries to meet Arnav again .
Her parents understood her hesitance and said it was okay if Khushi didn't come with them, but kind of sister she would be if she failed to be absent for everything important in her sister's life , so she made her way into the house and was so fortunate to have Arnav's family treat her just the same.
No one , not even Payal's mother in law said a word against Khushi because just like her they were all happy about the new baby. Her sister was practically glowing and her brother in law was constantly hovering beside her, inspite of the teasing he earned from everyone.
And then everyone laughter faded and she knew he was here , first she had been relieved to know he was still at work but the time out was over and Khushi was relived to see her parents and aunt greet him warmly as well.
They were family bound by marriage of her sister and her brother in law , Khushi refused to let her broken heart make things hard for their family. And no one said a word about the silence between them.
After few minutes of polite greeting , he walked back to his room and everyone slowly got back to their cheerful mind set and Khushi hated that he had to leave for her sake. And yet made herself focus on anything except him.
" How are you Khushi beta? " Arnav's Nani words were the first question about her broken engagement even if it was an indirect way of asking and Khushi didn't know how to answer the question. So remained silent instead.
" Marriage scares him and I thought pushing him to do so by my sheer adamancy will make him accept it, I never expected him to be happy about it because this is like getting a kid into the bicycle for the first time to teach how to ride. I had hoped once he had realized he was nothing like his father and if married to a patient wife , he will learn to be less scared of it and with time , he will even realize I did it all for his good.
That was why I choose Payal beta for him , then my match making plans went awry and he met you. Because human make mistakes , I never thought about any other outcome then the one I wanted , like getting my grandson married had been my goal , it was out of concern for him ,that I don't want him to be alone .
But I failed to see how it would affect you , to marry someone who doesn't want to get married . I was happy and hopeful when Arnav agreed to marry you , delighted when he was in love with you and yet if my grandson can't get over his fears and chase after you until you take him back , then it will be his loss and you got no blame in it " Nani finished speaking and Khushi realized it was her way of saying she understood Khushi and was on her side.
And yet Khushi realized that Nani had accepted his fears as it is and believed it will go away with time , but why didn't Khushi ever think like that why did she wanted him to be over it just because he wants to marry her.
Yes , she never wanted Arnav to marry her because there was no other way but she had also expected him to trust them enough to believe their marriage would be happy and was affronted that he still had doubts.
Yet Khushi failed to see that he had been willing to meet half way with her , he was willing to give the Marriage a try in spite of his fear but Khushi had asked for more than he was ready to give and maybe they could find a middle ground .
