In life, there are those few people, like family, that are always meant to be there for you. To love and to care for you, to lift you up when you fall and to love you unconditionally.

When I was four, my parents left me. I was very young then, not really old enough to process what had happened. I began to live with my aunt and uncle. They weren't exactly the ideal 'parents' and they sure as hell weren't perfect.

Then again, I never had anyone else to compare to so in my four year old eyes, life was great. I was an only child in their house so most people reckon I am spoilt but believe me; I am anything but spoilt. I may be an only child but I might as well not exist. They don't acknowledge me or anything I do. They only acknowledge the bad I do and the wrong. So basically when I don't get that A in the test or if I miss a spot while cleaning for them.

My life is nowhere near perfect, I'm abused verbally every day by them. I'm treated like the scum on the earth and would be better off dead to them some days. But then again, who would do everything for them then?

I'm not allowed to do a lot of things. I've never had a boyfriend, not allowed to go to parties or go shopping; they do it for me. I'm not allowed to hang out with friends either. But I don't have any friends, not anymore anyway. Life is pretty sucky but it is life and I have to deal with what life throws at me. Even if it does keep turning up to be crap.

In life you have to face many struggles. Many in which at times, you don't think you'll overcome but in the end... You do. You get over it and get to the next mountain that's in your way of being the most brilliant version of yourself there is. Every problem you've ever faced has had it's purpose in shaping you the way you are to this day.
