Lynx's POV
Hogwarts Year 6

Potions were our first class of the day. Just great. Meaning we have to worry about Snape's tendencies again. I was eating eggs and bacon for breakfast. I heard from the 7th Years that we would be learning about this love potion, Amortentia. I don't know much about it but it seems like a bit of a fake to me. Bill still hasn't got here yet.

I hear shuffling next to me. I'm greeted by the sight of red hair.

Bill sighed, "Sorry I'm late, The Fat Lady wouldn't shut up about her singing today."

I laughed, "Well at least you are here now. Better eat quickly class is about to start soon."

Bill and I sat in Professor Snape's class jotting down notes as usual. Bill would always get distracted and try distract me. I shove his hand off my face when he poked me. Our little banter ended when Professor Snape cleared his throat directing us to the cauldrons in front of him.

"Now students. Please take your attention to the cauldron in front of me. Does anyone know what the potion Amortenita is?" Snape's nasally voice rang out of the classroom. A Hufflepuff girl brought her hand up wanting to answer. He ignored her and went straight to the Slytherin boy next to her.

The Slytherin boy answered, "Amortentia is the most powerful love potion in existence. It causes a powerful infatuation or obsession from the drinker." Snape nodded and gave 15 points to Slytherin. Has this man ever taken points from his own house?

Moments later a few people went up to the cauldron to take a smell of it to see who they like. Seems pretty fake to me. How do you even know what your so-called lover even smells like? My thoughts are interrupted when I hear my name called by a voice of a Professor annoyed over his mind. I looked up from my notes and walked to the cauldron.

I began to tell them what I smelt, "I smell... Chocolate, mint, and... the smell of rain?" Snape nodded and sent me back to my seat.

"Who do you think I smelled?" I asked Bill quietly. He shrugged not knowing. I hummed in agreement and continued to jot down notes. From the side of my eye, I saw Bill smell himself probably because he thinks he didn't shower this morning. I laughed to myself quietly.

I really do wonder who smells like Chocolate, Mint, and Rain? Eh, maybe I'll find out soon.
