Monday evening. I parked my car outside The Lights, thoroughly disgusted by his choice of place. I knew the kind of exchange that transpired in this place. I knew the kind of exchange I had in this place. To say I was disgusted was an understatement.

But it also showed he had done his research on me. To see me where my guard is down. I shrugged my cardigan off in the car, smoothing the skirt. I internally chuckled at my dress, the deep blue, thigh length silk. Grabbing my clutch, I stepped onto the pavement when a hand grabbed my waist spinning me around. Before my clutch struck his face, his other hand was holding my wrist while pinning me to him.

"Hello, love. I was waiting for you." He levelled me with a smirk that spelled challenge. Not what I was expecting. I had expected a bossy, arrogant man forcing me to bow down. Wasn't he there to collect a debt I owed him?

I tried to get him to move away but he didn't budge. His hand grabbing the fabric on my lower back causing it to bunch. I was not having that attitude from a snob. No, don't get me wrong, I wasn't averse to the touch or attention I liked. In fact I found a thrill in it. But his touch, I was not going to pretend to enjoy. I stomped hard on his feet with my heels and he jerked away hissing in pain. "That was for touching without permission."

I extended a hand to him with a sweet smile as he was trying to deal with the pain and regain his footing. He scowled at me grabbing my hand a little too brashly. "Aren't you such a lady?" He mocked as we walked to the entrance of the club. "Well, aren't you such a twat?", I smiled back much to his annoyance.

The internal atmosphere seemed different to me that day. Everything seemed more interesting than my date as I ordered my regular. He ordered a simple soda. He was quietly watching the people and by that time I have downed three shots, while he was still pondering over his first soda. "You suck the energy out of this place." I huffed turning my head in his direction.

He was wearing trousers and dress shirt, all black and well pressed. Seems like someone else got dressed up as well. I chuckled, earning a questioning glance from him. "You look presentable. Well mannered." I shrugged.

"That's my job. Knowing my clients. That's how you close a deal." He shot back taking another sip. "So doctor, tell me about yourself."

That actually made me snigger. "See yourself closing any?" I continue to down my shot when he extends a hand to me. "I thought you would never ask", I roll my eyes playfully accepting it. We start to dance to an upbeat song and he sends me on a twirl before catching me against his chest. I traced his stubbled jaw with my finger stopping at the corner of his lips. His movement stalled for a moment before he regained composure. "You are easy on the eye, Blackwood", I said feeling his breath on my fingertips.

He gulped down, sending me for another twirl. When he pulled me in again, my back was against his front, with his hand wrapped around my stomach. He rested his head on my shoulder, pressing our cheeks together.

I froze at how intimate that felt for me, how he had already started his moves. I took a deep breath trying to ease into his embrace. Although I have never been in a relationship before, that was not the closest I have been to a man. In fact, I have never felt alarmed at someone's touch even in my casual physical relationships. It was just what it was, casual.

I tried to turn around to get out of that position but he encircled his arms fully around my middle pressing me close. A sigh escaped our lips. Kissing the side of my neck, he nuzzled into me. When I thought I couldn't take any longer his warm breath fanned my cheek as he whispered. "Now I see myself closing this deal."

He let go of me suddenly and I turned to see him smirking down at me. "You don't do your reputation any justice." He pulled me in by my waist and I snaked my arms around his neck leaning closer.

It was unsettling to see him ruffle my feathers. So I leaned closer, placing a small kiss on the side of his neck. His arms gripped my waist a little tighter at the contact and I buried my face in his neck. "You don't seem any better."

I pulled back with a smirk, my hand on his shoulders. Tracing his lower lip with my finger, I watched him try to control his breath. "I want to start from the beginning." He raised a brow.

"To date, casually", I flashed him a smile earning a glare. "Casually?"

"Casually", I nodded causing him to move away. He looked at me pointedly for a moment before chuckling, as if he understood. He pulled a girl dancing close to us into his arms, pressing her back to his front and swayed to the music. "This casual, darling?"

She, perhaps thought the question was directed at her and started but soon turned to face him, her palm cupping his cheek. He shot me a provoking look.

It was my turn to smirk as I retraced my steps while holding his stare. I bumped into someone and when I turned to him it was the same man from the previous night. "We meet again."

He says with a glint in his eyes. A predatory look and a touch of ego. I relaxed and moved to wrap my arm around his neck, about to use the opportunity to taunt Blackwood, when he captured my lips in his halting me.

A/N: They finally met!! But are they playing to prove their egos or right into a life changing challenge? And who's that guy?
