The school bell began to ring indicating the start of the first lesson.
Leaving our form room, Harry and I linked arms, as always, and went to our first class of the week... Maths.
Maths is ok. I mean I'm not a maths genius but I can get by. I've managed to pass my maths GCSE's and got a B, but I had to study extremely hard every night other wise that B would be a D!
We only have a few months left of school and then college will begin. Ive been accepted into the college Ive always wanted to go which is only a bus ride away. Plus, to make things better Harry got in as well which means he's not leaving me for at least another two years!
The thought of never seeing him again frightened me. We've been best friends since primary school and if he was to go to a different college I would probably stay at home and cry. I'm basically glued to his side! The narrow school halls began to fill with children. First years could be seen running to class with their over sized backpacks on, and the sight made me giggle. I try and kid myself that I wasn't like that when I first started secondary school but I probably was!
And then it started.
'Harry!'
'Hey Harry!'
'Oh my god look it's Harry!'
'Wow he's even fitter in person!'Girls in every year started to squeal like pigs as Harry and I walked down the hall.
A small smirk on his face appeared and he winked at a girl that looked about 12 as she and her friends whispered and pointed at him.My blood started to boil. Any other time they would just look at him and forget they ever saw him a few seconds later. Now they think he is a Greek God just because he was on TV once. To make the situation even more annoying he was loving every minute of it.
We finally pushed through the crowd of people and the entrance of the maths classroom was in sight.
We entered and as the jealous girl I am, made it completely obvious that I was annoyed.
Instead of sitting next to Harry at the back of the classroom, I chose the more 'school geek' seat at the front of the class. This will show him.
'What are you doing?' He piped up after realising I didn't follow him to the back of the room.
Now I could either tell him why I'm annoyed or let him figure it out himself.
The second idea sounded more appropriate.I sat down without saying a word and got out my book, seen as we wouldn't be doing maths anymore due to exams finishing and the end of the school year getting ever closer.
Fishing into my bag I pulled out my iPod and earphones. I shoved them in my ears and set the play list on shuffle. Finally... Peace and quiet.(HARRYS POV)
Was she being completely serious right now?!
In the space of about 2 minutes she changed from being in a great mood to being stupidly ignorant. To the shock of everyone in the room she sat at the front of the class on her own.
Normally we sit at the back and talk on our own little table but she is obviously pissed off. The thing is I don't have a clue why.'What's wrong with her?' My friend Anthony asked, looking as confused as me.
'I have no idea. She was fine about five minutes ago' I said staring at the back of her head.
'I think you should probably go and see if she is alright. Girls seem to get even more pissed off if you don't check on them' He said amused. He's got a point to be honest.
I got out of my usual seat and moved in and out of tables to sit on the chair next to her.
She didn't seem to sense my presence, or she did and chose to ignore it. The slight noise of her music could be heard as the class began to die down and put their heads on the desk for a morning nap.I decided to stare at her. That normally works when she is in a mood. She secretly loves me giving her attention, and to be honest it just comes naturally to me. She intrigues me so staring at her has become my job when we are together. I've learned to know if she's upset just by the slight wrinkles in her forehead, or if she's got a lot on her mind by the dullness of her eyes.
And right now she is definitely upset.
I just wish she would tell me why instead of playing this mind game with me!
