Hi this is an Ever After High (EAH) fanfic please read and leave any comments you think appropriate.  Disclaimer: I don't own Ever After High, in fact I own nothing except parts of the storyline and Katherine along with some of the other characters I created.

You've heard of Puss in Boots, right?  Well of course you have, the Spanish boot-wearing bandit is famous, but have you ever heard of Katherine Boots?  No, I didn't think so.  Well that's only because I haven't really made a name for myself...Yet.

Hi I'm Puss in Boots daughter, Katherine.  It's nice to meet you and I'm really sorry that I can't stay and chat, but I've got to get to school.  This is a big year for us; it's the year of Legacy Day, which I'm sure the narrators can tell you about.  So I'll see you at school.  But first...

"Papa have you seen my boots?"

I grinned as my papa appeared in the doorway to my room, dressed in his signature hat and boots, with his sword dangling at his side.  "I'm afraid not little one, you should ask your mama, you know how she is with finding things that 'mysteriously  go missing'."  He smirked and we both laughed.

Mama is, or was, Kitty Softpaws.  Technically she's Kitty Boots now since she married papa, but whatever after.  She has the softest paws in all of Spain and despite no longer going on adventures constantly she still likes to swipe things occasionally, mostly from papa and I.  "I'll go ask her then, where is she?"

"In the kitchen."

"Ok, thanks papa."  I smiled and kissed his cheek.

"You're welcome little one."  He purred softly and grinned at me.  "Now hurry along, you don't want to be late for school."

"Yes papa."  With that I was off to the kitchen where I found mama had set breakfast out on the table.

Now I should probably tell you that I'm not an only child, in fact I actually have two younger siblings, a brother and a sister.  Sometimes having the three of us here gets a bit...hectic, but somehow our parents always find a way to manage things.

So as I walked into the kitchen I made sure to watch my feet, why?  Because my siblings have this annoying little 'let's prank Kat as much as possible before she goes off to school' routine that they do every year.  This time I'm prepared though.  So when I spotted a pair of tails that had been curled together at the bottom of the door, just waiting to trip me, I nimbly jumped over them.

"Hey no fair!"  My little brother Daniel cried, frowning at me.

"Sorry guys but this time I'm not going to be falling into any of your pranks."

"Aw!"  They looked annoyed but I could tell that it was just a ruse, they had something else planned and I had the sneaking suspicion that my chair at the dining table had something to do with it.

Remaining cautious I went over to the table and straight to my chair as I normally would, then glancing out of the corner of my eye I saw my siblings smirk at each other.  That confirmed it, they had rigged my chair to do something.  In order to test what exactly they had rigged it to do I placed an empty plate on the seat and watched as one of the legs gave out, causing the chair to fall over.

'Goodness gracious!"  Mama exclaimed and turned to glare at Daniel and Isabella.  "How many times have I told you two not to break things just so you can prank your sister?"

"Um....A lot."  Isabella answered guiltily.  "Sorry mama."

"So you should be, I'll be taking away your pocket money to use to pay for a new chair."  She replied, earning a groan from the two kids while I chuckled.
