Chapter 3 Royal and Rebel Roommates?

Female Narrator

The next morning Katherine woke when she felt a tickle on her nose. When her eyes opened sleepily she was greeted by a smiling green face.

"Come on Kate it's time to get up." Felicia dragged her into a sitting position before pulling her blankets back.

"Alright, I'm up." Katherine groaned in response.

"Good because we've only got half an hour to get to breakfast."

"Ok." She slipped out of her bed and made her way to the bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror and saw her usual "morning" self.

Katherine

Yeah I have horrible bed hair, my normally silky smooth ginger locks are in unimaginable tangles, but that is why I need a little bit of time to get fairest in the morning. Anyway I think you Narrators can handle it while I sort myself out and make sure you share the narrating.

Female Narrator

Very well, but I thought it would be better if I did it while you get fairest.

Male Narrator

Why you don't think I can do it?

Whatever after, I'll do it. Ok so by now you might be wondering why I can hear the Narrators because usually it's only Wonderlandians that do, like Maddie, but some special people can to and I am one of those people. Mind you a lot of people think that I'm crazy, but who cares. Haters gonna hate, right? So now that my hair looks like it should and I'm wearing a black short sleeve shirt with a matching skirt with black knee-high boots. I was going to hide my sword in my skirt-

Male Narrator

See total Rebel.

But I didn't want to get in trouble.

Female Narrator

See she is completely Royal.

Katherine

I walked out of the dorm room with Felicia at my side and we headed down to the castleteria. On the way we found Madam Maid Marian and I asked her about the upcoming Damsel-in-distressing Class.

"We will be practicing the perfect way to ask your Prince Charming to rescue you."

"Aw man!" I whined. 'Why do we have to do that? I'm not even a damsel, I'm the hero in my story and not just some girl who sing pretty little songs about birds and princes!" I fumed before storming off to find Raven and Maddie. They were both sitting at our usual table waiting for me.

"What's up Kat?" Raven asked.

"Not much, how about you guys? How was your sleep last night?"

"Good."  Maddie smiled.

"Terrible."  Raven slouched.

"Why? Aren't you guys sharing a dorm?"  I asked.

"No, Apple asked headmaster Grimm if we could room together because "I'm such a big part of her story" apparently and she even decorated my half of the room."

"Well that was nice of her."  Maddie shrugged.

"She used an "evil" throne, an "evil" crown and an "evil" haunted mirror."

"That's so typical of her."  I shook my head.

"Oh come on you guys we all know that Raven's not going to change just because of Apple. I'm sure Apple is just a riddle that we haven't solved."

"If you say so, but speaking of riddles do you happen to have a riddle for us?" I asked. I love Maddies riddles and rhymes, in fact I missed them over the holidays.

"What starts with T, ends with T and has T in it?" She asked grinning.

"That's a good one."  Raven said. Then we both sat in silence and thought about it.

"Trumpets?" I asked. We all burst out laughing at my stupid guess. "Well it has two T's in it."

"I've got it!"  Raven said and I stared at her expectantly. "What starts with T, ends with T and has T in it? It's a teapot!"

"Yes."  Maddie nodded.

"That makes sense, especially compared to trumpet." I giggled. "So who are you rooming with?" I asked, feeling curious.

"Kitty Cheshire."

"At least she's another Wonderlandian."  I smiled.

"Yeah, but now that you know who we're with what about you?" Maddie asked.

"Felicia Ogre."  I replied, then the bell rang and it was time to go to classes, so we said goodbye and went our separate ways.
