Blackened Hearts

(Prelude)

It always happens in the dark.

The sins of those beyond repute, those things that none but the plotter wish to happen. If it is in pitch black dark then it makes things even better. Then there is less chance of being seen, even less of being caught. Many unmentionables happen under the cover of the dark sheild that night provides. These are the actions that people never want to remember, never want to hear of again, never want to think of again.

Out of all unlawful deeds; Murder is chief.

The killing of another being is shallow, venomous, covered in malice, and most of all two-faced. A great percentage of those who are killing do not act like heartless creatures that slaghter for any apparrent reason of their deigning.  Especially when they are under a scrutinizing eye. They are seemingly normal to all who look upon them. Seemingly is the key word.

You should know.

Fifty percent of all murder cases in what is known as the safest nation in all history go unsolved. Numerous heinous crimes of great calibar are committed and subsiquently dealt with each year on top of these unsolved murders. Many of the people who are caught are given a penalty for what they have done, the one irrevocable act.  A punishment that they themselves thought to gift others of their choice with. A Death Penalty, one given to attempt to right the wrongs they wrought.

To those who can prove their mental stability is compromised or can convince thousands that they are mentally retarded await imprisonment for life.  They only have a small chance for release, and if they are it is only into a building built just for them and their caliber if they prove to be a danger.

There is also another fate, one that most who travel it consider worse than an injection gone wrong. Pain, they can stand that. Death, it no longer frightens them. But this sends a shiver down every spine and forces even some of the most collected villains to their knees begging for Death to take them.

Often times they plead, praying for anyone to give them a reprieve from this sure damnation.

The road of rehabilitation rests in special facilities designed just for them. 

Many of these houses contain assassins trained to their breaking point, normal citizens who trifle with more than they can clean up, both in the deeds themselves and cleaning of the mind afterwards, and other, more unseemly cases are scattered across the world. Out of thes places only one gets the grace of hosting known killers who seem to be unhealable, unreachable, unknowable, and unrepentant. Those few umong the convicted who took their sentencing like they knew it was going to happen and sneered when told they'd be headed there for the foreseeable future.

Not many do so in the face of terror but those who seem to have no regaurd for their own personal welfare or sanity. You know, you were there at a conviction.

Kingdom Hearts. A house known by many as a nuthouse among nuthouses, the first, and last place known to deal with the worse humanity has to offer. It is the all-accepting father for those sons of his who have no better option, those who are doomed there for the rest of their expected sane lives. Those who are considered too malicious even for the souls in death to be punished with.

Part Prison, part Asylum, Kingdom Hearts is not something to be trifled with. It is rumored to house a Serial killer who was not caught for twelve years, a leader of some sort of kill group that hunted down people who were 'inadequate' for the gift that life brings, a boy who never speaks, but carves what he wants to say into bone and flesh, a demon child that scorched the flesh off of his victims only to laugh at them.  The Heads of this Kingdom Hearts are supposedly the worst of them all.

Of course, none of these rumors have been confirmed, there is just speculation. Or they are as of right now.  The truth shall be found soon by your eyes, ears, and experiences.   

Many who have have risen into the highest places of government have very specific veiws on killers.  Their views are Law to those who live under its mighty shadow.

'Those who muster up strength against their brothers with lethal intent are less than human.' A law that Kingdom Hearts takes into great consideration in the treatment it gives. Whether there are obscenities worse than the deeds that landed the patients there going on inside is not certain, each informant sent there reports nothing out of the ordinary.

Oh wait, and there's something else that you neglected, the best part:

You are headed there right now.

      Weeeeeeeell then...That was a creepy pile of shit...This was done for @Whyareall and her little challenge. I just wanna say that. Oh, and this:  She. Is. Evil. Plain and simple. She goes tempting all of us writers with a FREE-PASS to starting a new story with almost no guilt and calls us to write this stuff and put it at the forefront of our mind! You see! EVIL!!!

      So I was looking at this thinking 'It should be longer.' And then, 'But I like that ending...' So I compromised with myself, 'I'll just work on the first part sooner then...' And now I've gotta uphold the promise.
