An Old Ex In Town

JJ walked around with the bin bag, collecting the plastic plates and cups. She heard Neil walk into the room but didn't turn around.

"Jay sit down for a bit, you've been on your feet all day."

"Kinda wanna clean up and then sit down. Otherwise I'm not gonna do anything." He sighed as he walked up behind her. She felt his hands on her waist and straightened up with a smile.

"Sit down. Relax."

"After I clean, I promise."

"Well then I will help you." Before she could protest, he took the bin bag off her and dropped it on the table. Together they gathered all the big rubbish and threw it away. Once everything was clear, Neil pushed her down on the sofa.

"Sit. And give me your feet, you've been wincing everytime you stood up so don't think I don't know your feet are hurting you."

"Neil I'm fine, I promise." He narrowed his eyes at her until she took off her slippers and put her feet on his lap.

"I thought those new trainers were good for your feet. They're swelling up, cara."

"It's just been really busy at work. Loads of people have come through with weddings and bridal showers and-ow ow."

"Sorry. How about here?" She nodded her head and then closed her eyes. "Are you going to promise me you'll relax tomorrow?"

"I've gotta go into work."

"Jay!"

"I'm sorry! But I had to. Nadia is pregnant and can't help around as much."

"Well how about I come in to help?"

"You're crazy."

"No I'm not. I'm not doing anything tomorrow so I can tell my mum to keep Lara or drop her off at the bakery and I can take the front. I'll greet the customers, give them what they want and clean the tables. Whoever else is there can be in charge of drinks. I know how to use everything and I've helped you before."

"The longest you helped was for an hour. This is different. It's for the whole day."

"Well I'm gonna be there all day. Or as long as you are there."

"Neil," she warned.

"Judith." She lightly kicked him and he chuckled before leaning over and kissing her.

"I hate it when you call me that."

"I know. Which makes it more fun to say. But let's get you to bed and I'll massage your feet properly. Might throw in your shoulders too if you give me a kiss." JJ giggled as she rest a hand on his cheek before kissing him. "It's your lucky day, cara."

When she got into bed, she felt Neil tug at her t-shirt and sighed. "Not tonight, honey. I'm exhausted and I got a long day tomorrow."

"You know what? The very first thought I had was that when my girlfriend gets into bed, I'm gonna undress her and have sex because that's exactly what she's gonna want after a really long day and an even longer week." She laughed softly as she looked at him. "Take off your shirt. I'm still massaging your shoulders and feet." After a while of protesting, JJ turned over to her stomach and felt Neil gently kiss her back. "Your skin is always so soft."

He gently poured the oil onto her back and heard her groan as he rubbed it in. "It's because you give me a wonderful massage every now and then."

"Ah yes. That's because most of the time it ends in sex. Then both our skin gets moistured." JJ chuckled beneath him. "Damn, Jay. You're so tense."
