Twenty-four hours until the guests would start pouring in and the gala would start.Twenty-four hours for you to perfect any details, calm down your nerves, get ready and put your plan into action. You could pick up your favorite book and reread some of your favorite parts, or you could take a bubble bath and listen to some nice, relaxing music, letting your worries float away.
"AY YO LOSER OPEN THE FUCK UP!!!", came an annoying voice from behind your bedroom door while the door was getting pounded by someone's knuckles. "JUST KIDDING, I KNOW IT'S OPEN, AND I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR PRIVACY!" He screeched as he opened the door.
Relaxing afternoon. Hilarious, really, you almost forgot where you were.
Three pairs of footsteps shuffled into the room, you being able to distinguish them immediately. You wondered, if you were to hear your own footsteps, would you recognize them like your able to recognize your family's?
"Did you bring any snacks?" you asked.
Frédéric, who acted like he didn't just nearly broke down your door, threw one arm around your shoulder and messed up your hair. "I did bring myself." You imagined his cocky smirk.
"I bought macarons! And strawberry lemonade!" Félix cheered, energetic as always, as he set down the tray with treats on a table and joined the awkward hug you were trapped in.
Julien joined a second after, squeezing the life out of all three of you. You gave up, rolling your eyes at their antics and cherishing the warm embrace.
After a few moments too long, you spoke up. "If you don't let go I'm going to suplex all of you, and I mean this in the nicest way possible. " With one last squeeze, they all let go from the group hug, choosing to sit on your rather gigantic bed.
"We really missed you Y/N! How are things going? Are you getting closer to solving the problem?" Félix was quick to criss-cross his legs, taking one of the plushies from your bed and hugging it to his chest.
"I was hoping you wouldn't come back in one piece. How disappointing to see you here, perfectly unharmed." Fréderic flopped on his back, laying his legs across your lap.
"How disappointing, to see you're still a little bitch." You countered.
"Go fuck yourself, you store-bought stale croissant."
"Choke on a dick, knockoff Shadow the Hedgehog."
He scoffed with smirk. "That's part of my plans for tonight, actually — "
"Frédéric!!! Too much information!!!!" Félix exclaimed, embarrassed by his brother's straight-forwardness.
Julien nodded, face serious and emotionless as ever, as he flicked Frédéric's forhead, the latter letting out a yelp.
'It's been so quiet without you here. Dad's been worrying, even more than usual', Julien mouthed the words as he signed with his hands.
This angered you. You knew what you were capable of, and you were confident you were untouchable. You'd fight with your life for your family's name, and you sure as hell weren't going to let a wannabe gangster be your downfall. Everyone always underestimated you. You'd trained harder than everyone, fought and tried harder, you've studied every piece of information you could get your hands on until you've passed out, also gaining the experience of all of your ancestors. You were unreachable, burning bright and proud like the sun above us all.
"That's his problem, I guess. I'm the strongest person that's ever been in this family, and if my own dad can't see all the work I put into it, fucking fine."
