"Techno, the kingdom needs you."

Techno looked at the ground, playing with the loose thread on his shirt. He didn't look up at him. The man behind the counter sighed and violently sat back down, which made the pink haired idiot sink in his chair further.

"You can't keep going out to pick fights at outback arenas. First of all, it's illegal and second off, your duties around the kingdom aren't going away! You've missed 3 important events because you were dueling with some crack pots in an underground fighting ring!"

Techno felt himself getting guilty and masked his embarrassment with boredom as he played with his sword holster.

The man in front of him slammed his fist down, making Techno yelp and look down more. "Techno, look at me!"

After a few seconds, he slowly looked up at him. The man got closer to the scared boy as he tried to seem tough.

"Listen."

Techno became more scared at his tone.

"Sky is doing an announcement tomorrow to the whole kingdom. I've already called him and told him it's off. You're going to be doing the speech instead."

Techno immediately bolted up in his chair at this. "Wait, hold on! I can't-"

"Dave."

The whole room went quiet at that. Techno looked at him like a wounded animal as he shut his mouth tight and sat back down. He grabbed his sleeves and tried to distract himself with anything.

He was fearless.
But with this man, he was a crumbling mess.

"Head up to the Event Administration office on floor 7, it's down the hall from the armoury. You would know a lot about that place, wouldn't you?"

Techno had memories of him walking past the "Restricted" sign and grabbing the magical weapons from the displays. He didn't want to talk about it with him.

The man sighed.
"We'll talk about it later. Just go tell Adam it's from me and he'll tell you everything." The figure placed a folder infront of Techno that had the words "Sky's Event Speech/RF-DT" stamped on it.

Techno reluctantly took the folder in his hands and stood up abruptly, making a quick exit for the quarts doors.

"Techno."

He stopped dead, not wanting to turn around. He held the file tightly.

"What do you say?"

Techno pressed the button and the door opened. "C-Cya." He called out to him.

"What. Do you say, Techno?"

Techno sighed in defeat and did a small salute to the figure. "Thank you captain.." He said groggily.

"Good. You learned. Tell Adam I said hi. Now get out."

Techno was already gone as he walked down the smooth marble hall. He held the file at his side and fumed silently. He kept pulling his cape so it would sit right on his shoulders.
