Venus sat with one leg over the other, her eyes wide as she looked at the brunette who had caught her interest. 'Anna…' she thought, her eyes now cloudy as a variety of emotions overtook her. The girl in her visions, was this her? She matched the description, right from her figure and posture down to the strands of her hair. Venus never imagined herself with another, her only thoughts ever focusing on Anna - her mortal lover. Is fate cruel to her? What did she do to make the world hate her? Venus bit her lip, tearing her eyes away from the reincarnation of Anna.
"Vev?" Sasha softly whispered, looking at her sister in concern. "She's found her mate." Vanessa mumbled, leaning into Elliot as she stared at Venus with those blank eyes of hers. Venus dryly chuckled, her eyes hard as she stared at the table. She didn't want to accept it, she couldn't. How could she? After three centuries of her lover's death, she still couldn't get over it. It was honestly pathetic how she couldn't move on, even with her mate just a few tables over. Hell, she even looked like her. "What's her name…?" Daniel frowned, looking at his sister in concern. "Isabella, but I heard she prefers Bella instead." Melanie piped up, although there was a bit of a snarl in her tone. Vanessa looked at her own sister, "Mel, she isn't like the rest." Intrigued, the Cullens and Myers looked at the usually nonchalant girl. "How?" Rosalie almost sneered, "She and Angela," Vanessa started, tension immediately building up as the Cullens besides Alice peered at Edward who only frowned, "are the mates of Venus and Edward." She ended. Rosalie sneered at Edward as Melanie gritted her teeth, crossing her arms as she glared at Vanessa. "I'm heading out." Standing up abruptly, Venus made her way through the crowd, 'Meet me outside.' She communicated, sending Edward a message before finally leaving the cafeteria after sparing another pained glance towards Bella.
Edward stood up, shocking his own coven as he also moved to follow after Venus. "Where do you think you're going?" Rosalie hissed, Alice frowned as she looked back up at Edward, having just come back from a vision. "You both are going to regret your decisions." She warned, only earning a nod from Edward, "I'm going to talk with Venus." And with that, he hastily left the suddenly suffocating room with only a side eye to Angela. 'Her mind is so peaceful…'He desperately wanted to read her mind again, it was so quiet and comforting, nothing like the vulgar minds of the others. While the others were loud and headache inducing, Angela's mind was calm and organized. It brung serenity to him, and he oh so desperately wanted to return to it; to his new found haven.Reaching the outside, Edward found Venus standing around the corner, where the people inside wouldn't see her. Stalking his way up to her, he loomed over her figure as she only stared ahead, towards the hill next to their school that hid the forest behind it. "She looks so much like her…" Venus mumbled, her brows furrowing in sadness as her eyes clouded over again. Edward could only look at her, the one who he could rely on. To Edward, Venus was like his own little sister, one he could protect. That's all he wanted, something to protect. He felt that, since he had no soul to protect, no innocence or happiness, he would protect Venus; the girl who managed to make him feel at least normal. Her mind was always in one place or another, jumping from one to another but most of the time, it was filled with her past lover, Anna.
Edward watched Venus as she hugged herself, almost as if she was cold from the gloomy weather as she stared off into space. "This world is so cruel…" She muttered, her lip jittering as if she was gonna sob, but she couldn't. Edward felt his brows knit together, opening his arms as if to pull her into a hug, but he stopped, then closed his arms and let her proceed to talk. "How can I love again...How can I love when she's...She's…" Venus uttered, her words tripping over the other as she bit her lip to cut her own voice off. But she didn't need to finish her sentence. No, she didn't need to speak at all. While she gave not much details, Edward could see how cluttered her mind was. He could practically feel the despair and sorrow seeping from her very immortal being. Putting his hand on her shoulder, Venus quickly grabbed his larger one with her small hand, "Ignore them. We can ignore them." He gave a small smile, his lips strained. Alice was right, they would regret their decision eventually but this felt as though it would be the safest option right now.It started to pour down droplets of rain harder than before, it felt as if a flood would happen with the non-stop continuous raining. Venus sat in her seat, looking out of the window. Her classroom was a chemistry one, a very dull one. The only splash of colour within the room was the distressed birch desks. Tapping against the window, the everlasting howling wind whipped against the bushes and trees right outside, the noise was almost irritating but peaceful, silent yet loud. Venus bit her lip, dear lord, how is she going to handle this hell of a school now that…Sweet. 'Holy shit,' Venus thought, her eyes wide as her shoulders tensed, 'fuck that smells…' Holding her breath, her eyes darted towards the door. Bella Swan. That name rang in her head like church bells, loud and clear, annoying and repetitive. Her scent fell through the air, the smell of mango and ash hung in the air and made Venus's knees feel weak. Intoxicating. Her scent is incredibly powerful on her mind, she almost wanted to take her away from here.
Too caught up in her own troubles, she never even realised that Bella had moved to sit right besides her. Regaining her composure, Venus placed a hand over her nose; covering the lower half of her face. Darting her eyes from the outside of the window back to Bella, Venus almost swore she had seen Anna. Her sweet, beautiful, mortal lover. The one who died to her own kind. Crap, she needed to stop. Looking back to Bella, she almost leapt up. Was she staring at her the whole time?Bella quickly glanced away, her cheeks softening into a blush. Biting her lip, she shuffled in her seat, suddenly finding it uncomfortable. Pulling her hair over her shoulder, she created a makeshift curtain with her dark brown locks. Did she know? Did she know that she had been gazing up at her like a mysterious riddle just waiting to be found out? Bella furrowed her brows, grabbing her yellow sharpened pencil and putting it to her mouth before chewing on the end; like an anxiety tic, perhaps. Bella breathed in before exhaling, calming down her jittering nerves that had been winding her up since the moment she felt the captivating golden eyes of Venus on her.
