Jack.

Dean stopped for a moment, surprised, "Jack? What are you doing here?"
Jack smiled, "I heard your prayer!" Dean walked closer to Jack, and Jack walked closer to Dean, "I know I said I wasn't going to respond to those, but I thought I owe you, and him an explanation."
Dean looked at Jack sternly, but with compassion in his eyes, "Bring him back." Dean took a step closer, so now Jack could feel his breath, "I need him back."
"Dean," Jack took a step back, "You know I can't do that. I can't bring anyone back, no matter who."
"Jack, please bring him back." Dean says exasperated, "I-I can't do this with out him."
"I'm sorry Dean, I can't do that." Jack looks down, "I can do anything but that. So please, don't ask for that."
Jack looks back up at Dean, pain in his eyes. Dean can tell it hurts him too. "Fine. Then go." Dean starts to walk past Jack, farther into his room. But Jack stops him,
"I really am sorry Dean." Then Jacks gone.
Leaving Dean standing in his room, helpless. He walks over to a chair sat next to his bed. He was thinking about the amount of times he woke up in the middle of the night, Cas just sitting there watching him. This made Dean smile a little bit.
He walked up to his drawer on his desk. He put something in there. Something special. As he opened it, he was holding back tears.

His coat.

Right where he put it. Dean, pulled out Cas' coat gently, and gingerly runs his fingers over the folded fabric. He really does miss him. With all his heart.
Without thinking, Dean unfolds the coat carefully, and holds it up. He looks at it for a moment, before he slips it over his arms and sits on his bed.
"It still smells like him." Dean thought to himself, the fabric rubbing against his skin. He looked at the floppy arms of the coat. "My baby in a trench coat." Dean whispers quietly to himself.

Sam saw all of this.

Sam saw everything, from Dean telling Jack to bring him back, to Dean whispering to himself. Sam didn't know Dean kept his coat. This though, made Sam realize how much Dean really needed Cas back.
Sam, turned back down the hallway. He went to Dean's room to tell him there was nothing to do about Cas. But he couldn't do that anymore. Dean needed hope. So Sam went back to the library, trying to think of anything.
