The sun shone brightly and Renjun woke up.
His body aching all over.
❝Doctor! Doctor!❞
The male immediately opened his eyes and looked around.
An unfamiliar room.
❝Mister Huang! You're awake!!❞
Renjun was so confused.
❝Excuse me, why am I here? Where's Na Jaemin?❞ he asked.
❝I'm right here, and you're at the hospital❞ The blonde man walked in.
With Yangyang wrapped around his arms.
❝Why is Yangyang here?❞
❝What do you mean? We've been dating for a while, don't you remember?❞
Realization hit Renjun and tears started pouring.
The stars realigned and the 2 worlds collided again.
❝Hey what's wrong?❞ The guy named Yangyang spoke.
❝F-Fuck, I'm not suppose to be here❞
❝What do you mean?❞
❝Why am I back? I was suppose to come back tomorrow, what happened❞
Renjun's phone dinged.
The screen lit up, showing an unread message from an unknown number.
Without hesitation, Renjun slid his fingers and checked the message.
❝You're back, aren't you my love? I woke up this morning and Renjun kissed me. Something you never did. I hope you're happy. At least, now, I realised, I want you here more than anyone else. I don't know if you'll get this message but I'm trying since you got Jaemin's messages while you were still here, but, I love you Huang Renjun❞
Reading that message, the elder also realised something, that, he also loved Na Jaemin.
No, not the one dating his cousin. But the one dating Renjun from a different universe.
❝This sucks, it really does. *I feel like I'm in the wrong world*. Oh God, Jaemin-ssi, I love you❞ Renjun replied.
❝Mister Huang? You'll be dismiss in a month so for now, Mister Na, here, is going to look after you❞
With that, the doctors left, inlcuding Yangyang.
He had to go home to take care of his grandma.
Now, it was just the two of them. Here, alone in Renjun's hospital room.
Silence filled the air.
Back when Renjun was in a whole different universe, he'd always be the one to break the awkward-ness. But here, it was the opposite.
The elder got onto his wheelchair and pushed himself to the window. Admiring the sky.
❝Renjun, what was it like?❞
The brunetted raised his eyebrows.
❝What do you mean?❞
❝I, I know where you went. I knew for a second that, maybe, you weren't in this world so I prayed to have you back❞
❝How did you know?❞
❝I'm not dumb. I know the difference between having a light and dark brown hair❞ Jaemin replied. ❝When I took you to the hospital, your hair immediately turned light brown, I thought it was weird at first, but, I remembered, you use to tell me that you'd dye your hair any color except light brown cus' you thought it looked like poop❞
Renjun chuckled.
❝I guess❞
❝So how was it like?❞

❝When I got there, I woke up in my bed with you taking care of me. I was so confused and cussed at you but you kept calling me 'babe'. Did you know? In another universe, we're together?❞
❝What else?❞
❝Nothing. It was just us, you and me. We were so happy, I swear❞
❝Tell me, what was it like? Being with me?❞
❝I don't know. I didn't have any worries or stress. All I felt was happiness because you were there. There to spoil me with your affections, there to comfort me everytime I missed you from this world. I don't know, I love him❞ Renjun teared up. ❝I used to think I didn't need any other Jaemin in my world. I always thought it'd be only you, I love. Oh God, how wrong I was❞
❝I'm sorry❞ the younger apologized, sincerely. ❝I'm sorry I ended our friendship because I was confused about my own feelings❞
Renjun shook his head.
❝No, it's fine. No matter how bad our relationship got, I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart because I needed it. I needed you in this life❞
The younger approached the brunette from behind and hugged him. Snuggling his head on the crook of Renjun's neck.
❝It's just sad❞
❝What is?❞ Jaemin asked.
Renjun sighed.
❝How in a parallel universe, I love you and you love me too. But in this universe, I am facing the reality in which I love you and you don't❞
After finishing his sentence, he was immediately greeted by a pair of lips on his own.
Confusion setting in his mind and he pushed the younger back.
❝W-what the hell?❞
❝Who said I didn't feel the same❞
❝You can't do this, not to my cousin❞
The blonde chuckled.
❝This was all a setup, Yangyang and I aren't dating❞
Renjun raised both brows.
❝What the hell!❞ he yelled.
❝Shh, he already knows. I love you Renjun❞
The elder blushed.
He could hear the other Jaemin's voice in his head, ❝I told you. Whatever world we're in, I'm always gonna fall in love with you❞
Renjun teared up, once again.
❝Stupid, you should've approached earlier. It's been eight years since I confessed❞
❝I'm not confused anymore. I love you. I really do❞
A smile was shown on both of their faces.
The two leaned in again, for another kiss.
