Alice's POV

We went to the store and began to get our things. It was awkward because none of us spoke a word to each other. Harry wandered off. I put my stuff in the cart and waited for the people ahead of me to buy their things.

I saw a little girl that was in front of me stare at the candy. She kept eyeing it and when she thought she saw no adults were looking in her way, she stuffed a Snickers bar in her long pink jacket. The women, whom I assumed was her mother, grabbed the little girl's hand and walked forward since it was her turn to put her food in that black thing. What is that called?

I felt someone tap my coat and I turned around to see Harry with three packs of toothpaste. I smiled and, covering my mouth, tried not to laugh. He gave me a confused look.

"What?! I have to keep my teeth healthy and clean!" He protested. I laughed and his face got all serious.

"Did you see the little girl?"

I nodded.

"Yeah."

"I need to tell her." He said.

He grabbed the little girl's hand and had a 'Serious talk' with her. I couldn't help but laugh a little bit. I bit my lip so the laughs didn't come out. The mother thanked Harry and they both walked out. I thought about what the mother was going to tell the little girl.

We bought our stuff and drove off. In the car, Harry was eating the same bar that the little girl tried to steal, while driving with one hand.

"So Harry, how come you cared if that little girl stole the candy bar? Why did you stop her?" I asked him. He smiled. "It's the right thing to do, to stop her from making a crime, Alice. I learned that about a week ago or so."

He took a turn and the rest of the way I thought about it. It's the right thing to do. As if he always did the right thing. You wouldn't believe that if it were coming out of your ex- bully. Would you? No.

We finally arrived at my house. He helped me get the bags out and put them inside the fridge. When we where done, I finally asked him 'The Question'.

He grabbed a snack that he bought for me even though he was taking at least 2 boxes of apple juice every 5 minutes. He sat down and offered me one. I denied. He should have that since he told me he loves AJ.

"Why were you crying the other night?"

He gave me a weak smile but I saw the sadness in his green eyes. Wrong question.

"I already told you why. "I crossed my arms. "Harry the truth. I could help you."

He sighed. "Well, I still have nightmares about... my dad. My real dad. Not Robin. To be honest, I hate Robin. He's so bossy! Anyway, I still have nightmares about him because, don't tell anyone, he used to hit us. He hit my mom and me and Gemma. We were terrified by him. That's why Mom left that son of a bitch. Even thinking about him makes me sick."
(N/A this isn't true okay? Not everything has to be a real fact you know.)

Oh God. I seriously asked the wrong question. I felt terrible right there. I must have made a face because Harry began sipping his juice box like a little kid. I laughed. He smiled.

"Oh God. Sorry I asked that Harry. I didn't mean for you to tell me that. I just didn't like, uh, okay, I knew you weren't telling the truth. That's why I asked. I'm sorry." I said. Feeling terrible.

He checked his watch. His smile faded. "I gotta go Alice. At one, I got a tennis game. Sorry but hey, see you tomorrow or later, 'kay?" I nodded. I got studying to do before he returns.

He kissed my cheek and closed the door. I remember when Louis would do that to me. I sighed at the thought. I locked my door and walked upstairs to my room. I gotta study for college. And finally, I can study or be alone in my home.

Without fear.
