Over the next few days Ariana remained busy. She barely had time to think about the disastrous lunch adventure with the Navarro CEO. Stepping out of the cap with piping hot coffee in one hand, her handbag on the crook of her arm, her other hand holding onto a black hard cover book and her phone while she spoke into her Bluetooth, she walked to the entrance of her company.
"No, I'm not home today...You told me get a job so I'm going to get one...Dad!...Alright fine. Love you...Yes, I'll call later."
She ended the call with a playful eye roll. She arrived at the door and with skillful maneuvering, she somehow managed to open it without dropping anything. She was greeted by a cheerful Hannah, who was always punctual since her first day on the job.
"Good morning, Ms. CEO."
"Good morning, Hannah."
Watching her boss head towards the elevator, Hannah looked like she was caught in a daze. She had heard countless rumors about the ill tempered and bad mouthed British Heiress and it had shocked her greatly to know that Ariana was the real owner of Mala Santa. When Hannah had applied for the job, she thought that Ian was the CEO. It wasn't until the big move that she discovered that Ariana was the CEO and Ian was merely the Vice acting in place of the CEO herself.
Just when the elevator dinged and the doors began to slide open, Hannah suddenly remembered something.
"Ah! Ms. CEO, this came for you."
Reaching for the large white box on the table, Hannah picked it up and rounded her desk before hurrying in the direction of her boss.
"It came early this morning. I've already sighed for it." Hannah informed.
"Mm."
Dropping her phone into her hand bag and shuffling the black book under her arm, Ariana used her free hand to take the package and look at it. It was quite heavy and there was no card attached but one look at the customized black ribbon holding the box together was enough to tell her who it was from.
"Thank you." She looked at Hannah with a smile.
Hannah nodded eagerly before walking back to her station. Ariana walked into the elevator and pressed for the top floor, watching the door slide closed as she sipped on her coffee. It didn't take long before the elevator dinged again and she arrived at her floor. It was quite early in the morning so Raiden and her personal secretary had yet to arrive.
Looking at the clock above the desk of her secretary, Ariana let out a sigh.
"It's going to be a long day..." She frowned.
Today she had quite a packed schedule. With the plans for her launch, she needed to review of a few more designs before selecting the official line for the launch. Once she did, she would need to choose a date and assign a team to gather the materials. After that, the real pressure would begin to get everything done by the deadline.
Ariana walked into her office, placing the package down carefully before she dropped her handbag down and settled in her leather chair. She turned her computer on, watching the company logo appear in white letters across the black screen. As it was loading, she pursed her lips at the sight of the package.
Every time she received a package from this specific sender, it was always packaged the same because she had once told the sender that sh liked the customized black ribbon the best. Shaking her head, she opened it without hesitation. Seeing what was inside, she let out a soft chuckle and shook her head.
"Really Charles?" She spoke to no one in particular.
Inside the box was a greeting card on top of black paper wrapping.
