I start the engine to my 2010 blue Camaro. i turn on NEFFEX sometimes and crank it. i look through the passenger window and smirk. the drive beside me was handsome. dark brown eyes and brown short hair. i tighten my grip on the wheel and wait for the green light. as soon it turns green me and the boy hit the gas, spinning the back wheels and we fly off down the street of New York city. we take the back roads that were less busy and less cops to run from. i drift corners to get to the finish line. Logan gave me the car 4 years ago before leaving me behind. since then i been racing and living my life like it's my last. i hit the gas harder and pass the boy and drift to the left almost making it to the finish line. i watch the car behind me and block his way past me making him slow down. i chuckle and race through the finish line where we started. i drift the car to a stop facing back to where we started. i climb out the car as the boy came to a stop beside me. tons of people cheered and came running up to us. i grinned and lifted my hands in victory. the boy came up to me and put his hand out. i take it and we shake.

"good race Ellie." i grin.

"good race to you too, Brian." he smiled and got back in his car and drove away.  i stay and party with everyone for the next 2 hours before i decided to go home. i drove to an abandoned warehouse just outside the city and park behind the building and cover the car with a tarp. i walk inside and go to the back to a little room. it looked a lot like the warehouse back in LA on the dock's. i take a deep breath and lay down on the bed. i been in New York for 2 years now. i had hopes to run into Logan. the party's were Logan's thing, the racing had become my thing after moving here and meeting Brian. Brian was handsome and defiantly into me but i wasn't into him like that. i still loved Logan and i needed to find him.

the next morning i woke to someone talking. i grab the gun under my pillow and slowly walk to the door. i peak around the corner and see 2 men, but i couldn't see there faces. i stay put and watch them closely.

"this place looks like a good place to stay. what do you think Max?" the one talking looked young. early 20's maybe. the other looked older. 40's from what i could see here. i see him nod and as they look to the room i hide behind the wall. i face the door and listen.

"it looks good. call the other's in." now was my chance. i come around the corner and point the gun at them.

"who are you?" it echoed through the building making them jump and turn around and look at me. i slowly walk up to them so i could see their faces better. "why are you here?" i glared. they put there hands up and looked at each other.

"who are you?" the younger one asked.

"i asked first." the man chuckled and put his hands down.

"you don't want to mess with us little girl." before i could say anything he whistles and more people came walking inside. this wasn't good. i felt my heart pounding in my chest. i watch the people closely. only 4 walked in. two women and two men. they looked like the gang Logan was with back in LA. i put the gun down and look at the older man.

"you guy's thieves? a gang?" the man frowned at me.

"your not scared?" i shake my head. I'm in love with a guy who was like them. there was no need to be scared. and i knew how to take care of myself. the man laughed. "you should be." was that a threat?

"are you threatening me?" before he could answer there was a raid of people running through with weapons raised up in suits. cops, this was bad. they arrested everyone and pointed there guns at me. i looked at them and sighed. i put my empty hand up and slowly put my gun down.

"it's clear." one officer spoke into a walkie-talkie. someone walked in and came straight up to me.

"dad?" i choked out. what was he doing in New York?

"it was really easy to find you Ellie." i shook my head.

"if it was that easy why did it take you 2 years to get here?" dad took a step to me and hesitated.

"I needed to make sure it was really you. when i seen the video of the car speeding down the road, that's when i knew it was you." i should have known Logan's car would give me away. "this isn't you Ellie. what happened to you?" i glare at him.

"i grew up, that's what happened." i hissed at him. "after you chased Logan away i grew up." it goes quiet for awhile. what was he thinking about? was he gonna take me back home? "now what? gonna make me go back? cause i'm not, I'm staying here." dad shook his head like he was hurt.

"It's time to go home Ellie." he demanded and walked out the building.
