LOGAN'S POV...
I had a bad feeling. it was starting to get dark and it was pouring down rain. i hope she was okay. i sat on the hospital bed waiting for her to come back, she always comes back. i just wanted her to stay safe. why couldn't i just tell her the truth? why do i always hide and lie to her? i take a deep breath and look around. does she even know where she's going?
"ELLIE!" i turn to the door to see her father standing there. he looked at me and glared. "where is my daughter?" he was not happy. i put my hands up in surrender.
"I'm not sure. we had a disagreement and then she took off." not the whole truth but it works for now. he slammed his fist into the wall making me jump a little. i may act tough but this guy? when it came to his little girl he could get vary scary. "I'll find her." i wanted him to know she will be found but he didn't seem okay with that.
"No, your the reason she's been distant to me the last 4 years. you should have stayed away from the day you met her. she wouldn't be where she is now." he started yelling at me, getting into my face, and he was right. i should have told my boss back then that i wouldn't do it. i should have kept her away from me. i shouldn't have come back. "your the reason she started street racing." he was still yelling blaming me for everything she's been doing the last 4 years.
"your right." i whispered under his yelling. he stopped when he noticed what i said.
"wait, what?" he was confused.
"your right. i should have stayed away and never met her. but because i have it has changed me and her. I've become a better person." Ellie's father laughs.
"you? your still stealing and getting with the wrong people."
"that's how i grew up, how i survive. but after Ellie." i paused looking at her dad. "i want to be better. and i want to be better with her. show her there's more to life then what i been doing and what she's been doing." he shook his head.
"i want you no where near her. and if i ever see you near her i will shoot you and prey it kills you." he was threatening me and i understood why. he didn't like me nor did he trust me. he told the police outside to find a 2010 blue comaro. where would i go if i was upset. i tried thinking, and then i got it. we used to go to the mountains and watch the city below us. it was the perfect place to think everything through. i run out past her dad and all the cops. i felt them follow me but i didn't care. i had to find her. make sure she was okay. i climb into my 2017 red dodge challenger and take off. i didn't know where i was going but i had to be going the right way. i watch everything around me as i drive down the roads. i make it out of the city and start going up a mountain. i notice part of a railing was missing like someone went over. my heart stops and slam on my brakes and go to the ledge. i preyed that it wasn't Ellie. by what i could see up here my heart shattered. the blue color was only one car that i knew vary well.
"ELLIE!" i scream out and climb down the cliff and get to her as fast as i could. by the time i get to her i had started crying. the car was upside down and looked smashed from rolling. i slide on my knees to the driver side and look inside. Ellie was hanging there from her seat belt. she wasn't awake. i find her heart beat in her neck and let out a breath, she was still alive. i try to open the door but it was jammed. i scream out and try to rip the door off but it wouldn't budge. i heard cars stopping up at the road. they had followed me. he must have known that i had an idea. i give up on the door and look at Ellie. she had a lot of blood on her and mixed in her dark hair. i had to get her out.
"i wont give up on you Ellie." i whisper to her and try ripping the door off again. i scream out as i pulled and it finally came lose and opened. i fall back and get up as fast as i fell and go to her. i pull on the seat belt and i carefully drop her down. she grown's in pain and slowly opens her eyes.
"Ellie?" i whisper looking into her eyes. she smiles and touches my face softly.
"you came for me." she whispered and started to slowly close her eyes.
"Ellie? Ellie no, stay with me. stay awake." but she closes her eyes. "ELLIE, NO." i pull her out and drop at her side. i look up the hill seeing a few men standing there watching. "SOMEONE HELP ME!" i scream out as loud as i could. i look back at Ellie. "Ellie. come back. wake up." i begged her to wake up. i needed her to wake up. her father came running down and came to her side. i backed away in tears. she will be okay. i know she will be. i keep telling myself she will be okay just to keep my mind straight. Ellie's father looks at me with tears and pain on his face.
"this is your fault. i don't ever want to see you here again. go." i look at Ellie and then him. he wouldn't let up even if i defend myself. i took off running into the trees and don't look back.
that morning i sneak into the hospital and hide in the bathroom. in my reflection i had cuts and blood on my face. some was mine and some was Ellie's. my hands were cut up from pulling on the door. i needed to see her though. make sure she was okay. i walk the halls finally finding her room. no one was guarding the door. that was there mistake. i look around and sneak inside closing the door and locking it behind me. i close the shades and look at Ellie finally. she was sleeping. her face was black and blue. her right arm was in a cast. the rest of her looked okay. i sit in a chair beside her and wait till she wakes up.
