From One Core To Another

Chapter 1

NALSAR University Of Law
Hyderabad

The whole campus was in a hustle bustle
As a new academic year was being welcomed.
The freshers had a box full of excitement
While the seniors were all set
For welcoming new students and greater adventures

Amidst all the noise,
A pearl white Swift Dzire came to a hault.
Everyone's eyes were glued to it
As they waited patiently for the one inside to show up
And there was the door, opened by the driver
Stepping out, was a girl
Pushing up her specs and handling a book in her hand
While a simple white kurti adorned her
"Nerds can be hot too"
Came a comment from a hunk
Which was probably inaudible to her.
She walked up with utmost confidence
As nothing and no one seemingly bothered her

Soon, on the other side
Was a group of three guys
One of them (who probably looked like the leader)
Was stepping ahead of the two
And they were following him

Soon, they approached the girl
Who was the recent heartthrob of the campus

Trembling she stood,
As he forwarded his hand
And mouthed "FRIENDS?"
That face of him was probably the only cause of her shivers
As she stood rooted.

The whole campus had their eyes centered upon them
For this was, the so called heartthrob of the entire University
Facing off with a hot fresher

Within seconds, she adjusted and normalised herself
And had a stern tone in her reply
"Sorry, but I don't talk to strangers."
Saying so, she walked away.

This was nothing but the hugest insult
Of the senior, Randeep Rai
Who was basically the centre of attraction for each girl
Who was always captured by huge groups of them
And now, who was denied by a nerdy fresher

He was burnt till the core
As Sanjay and Raghav (other two of the group)
Calmingly took him away.

Whereas here, started a new theme of gossip
Which soon came onto everyone's tongue
"Randeep was denied by a Fresher"

On the very first day
She met HIM
He came to her, asked them to be friends
That too in front of the whole campus
She was stuck up with all this
When these words fell on her ears
"Excuse me"
Mumbling to herself "Calm down, Ashi"
She turned
To see a not-so-familiar face

In front of her stood a girl
With a warm smile
While she said

"Hey, myself Ayesha, I'm a fresher too
Could you please tell me how can we get to the classroom
I can't understand that Evacuation plan hung there"

She said all this in one go
While Ashi laughed slightly
Then spoke up

"Hii, Ayesha myself Ashi Singh
And yes I hope we should be heading to class now
Let me try if I can find out a way."

Soon they studied the Evacuation plan
And found the way to the classroom.
While they stepped in,
Everyone had their eyes glued onto Ashi
Who had already made a first impression
Back in the ground itself.
Some of them hooted
While others whispered and chuckled amongst themselves

Ignoring all this,
Ashi and Ayesha shifted to the third bench
Making a comfortable sitting.
Soon everyone else too headed back to their seats
As a man in his thirties entered,
Wearing formals,
Who was probably the professor
None other than "MR. BAD JOKE :)"
As JBR introduced himself
A voice came from the door

"May I come in, Sir?"

"First of all, call me JBR"

"Okay, JBR"

"Moreover, I hate late comers"

"Sorry JBR"

"But as it is your first day
I'm letting you in
Don't repeat this again"

"Thankyou JBR"

Saying this she stepped in
And went straight to the third bench
As there was a place for the third one
She settled herself
And introduced her to them
"Hey, I'm Kristina,
Hope you won't mind me sitting here."

And with two more rounds of introduction
Soon the three made it together
And found out
They were each other's type ;)

Moreover the first day was seemingly calm
For Ashi now
As the happenings of early morning
Brushed off her mind.

But on the other side
The rage was still at it's peak
As for Randeep,
He was insulted
That too by her,
That damn fresher!
He sweared not to spare her for sure!
