AUTHOR'S NOTE: Can't believe it's almost two years since the first chapter of my first book. The day I started writing for public, anyway, here you go! Hope you guys love this. <3 I am sorry this is shorter.

Chapter Eighteen

It was five in the morning, Mina was seated in her car being driven by Nayeon eonnie who seemed grumpy to be woken up at such an early time, heading towards the airport.

Their flight's at six-thirty as they will have two days to go around, shopping or touring before the meeting and a mini-conference, which Mina wasn't informed of until the last minute.

"You sure you have everything?" asks Nayeon, voice a little hoarse.

"Yeah, but please take care of my car on the way back," The girl in the back pleads, looking through the car window, enjoying the houses with different kinds and colors passing as her ride's moving.

"You're only worried about your car? Hmp." Nayeon sulked as she parks the precious car in front of the airport, unbuckling her seatbelt to help Mina move her luggage.

"I think you can handle not hurt yourself. You love yourself too much to let that pretty face of yours even have a single cut," The latter teased, thanking her best friend for helping her with the things.

"You're right. So when will Miss Biceps say she'll arrive?" Nayeon asks, leaning against the car carefully, not wanting to scratch the precious vehicle of her best friend.

"Stop calling her Miss—" Mina was about to scold her when a familiar voice interrupts her, face turning beet red when she realizes who she is the moment the scent hits her.

"Miss Biceps huh?" Chaeyoung butts in, asking the two with a teasing tone, wearing only a sleeveless shirt that shows little tattoos, showing off her biceps that the older woman had been pointing out.

"I—I need to go now, have fun on that trip Sharon! Bye! Text me, okay?" Nayeon hugs her best friend tightly, bowing at her best friend's boss with a blush on her face, waving her hand as she enters the car quickly, driving away.

"Why is it always me that has to deal with her mess? What a coward," Sharon thought, shaking her head. She stands straight when she hears the chuckle behind her, forgetting momentarily that she wasn't alone.

"Why does that best friend of yours keep leaving when I tease her?" The boss asks as they both walk towards the entrance, luggage-free because Chaeyoung brought her bodyguards.

"I am asking myself the same thing," Sharon replies, walking behind Chaeyoung when suddenly a hand grabbed hers, pulling her beside the woman, hand wrapping around her waist protectively.

The latter blushes, not used to such a bold move, clearing her throat as she tries to ignore the spark she felt. No, she's not about to feel things. She wasn't born for that.

"Must have been my marvelous looks," The chief executive officer says, heading towards the ticket booth.

"What marvelous looks? Where? I can't see it," Sharon teases, gulping when her boss tightens her grip around her waist.

"You seem to be playing along now when I remember you didn't do the same last night," The lightly smaller woman points out, grabbing two tickets as they head for the seats to wait for their flight.
