Chapter 1

I glanced at my alarm clock.
"Oh shit! Mom! I am gonna be late, why didn't you wake me up?" I shouted from my room, only to get silence as a reply in return. I realized mom left for her business trip yesterday and I had to do all my work by myself.
I rushed to the bathroom, brushed my teeth and took a quick shower, changed into my uniform and ran outside. It was the first day after summer break and I was not supposed to be late.

I reached school within few minutes as it was near to my home. I was running so fast that I dashed into a guy causing him to trip and fall over someone. I was in a hurry so I did not even see who I dashed into, I apologized without looking at him and ran away to my classroom.

When I reached my classroom, Mrs.Jung, our Sociology teacher had already started taking attendance.
She called out my name "Kim Miso"

"Present Mam", I answered standing at the door.

She glanced at me and continued with the attendance. I knew she was gonna lecture me about how I am late for her class on the first day. Mrs.Jung was a disciplined and strict teacher in our school.
She then looked at me and said, "Come in and you better give me a valid reason for being late".

"I overslept". I blurted out nervously only to regret it later.

"Detention after school. Go and take your seat now".

"Yes mam. Sorry for being late". I apologized and went to sit with one of my two best friends in school, Jang Mi. She laughed at me and I punched her playfully. Jang Mi and I were best friends from 6 years now. We shared a similar perspective when it came to life.
Our thoughts matched well with each other and that's why I adored her so much.

My other best friend was Kim Taehyung. He joined school four years ago and since then we have been close to each other. Before Taehyung joined school, I was a loner. I didn't have much friends and I ate by myself at the canteen.

He too turned back and laughed at me. I hit his head glaring at him.

Just then our principal entered the classroom. I saw a guy walking behind him.
