Mina observed Dahyun's face carefully, nearly compassionate as the younger one stared desperately on a squared piece of paper with a concentrated facial expression. "Come on, you can do this. I am sure, you can."

It was actually not natural for Mina to sound cheerful and confident. Adding up, she struggled with relating to the way Dahyun seemed not to see the perfect sense numbers, parabolas and formulas made to her. For Mina it felt as if every single number and even letters would quickly format into a beautiful, easily understandable picture that would make every term fit in. The polynomial functions and their cautious in the axiom of infinity would just open up to her, whispering every calculation correctly into her ear.

It was easy. But for Dahyun it didn't seem to work that way and not even the hours of studying they had spent together that evening seemed to have helped. Mina smiled encouraging again and pointed softly at one example in her mathematics book which caused nodding and timid writing on Dahyun's side.

After a while, she seemed to have finished the exercise. "So, do you think it's correct like this?" Dahyun wiped remains from her rubber off of the piece of paper where abstract mathematical formula were messy written on and crossed out again. Then she nodded towards one calculus that somehow managed to not be crossed out tiredly and looked at Mina pleadingly, her head slightly tilted.

The brunette studied the calculation and mumbled steps of calculations to herself until she looked up from the paper and faced her classmate, smiling. "I think, you understood how it works now. Good job!"

Dahyun blurted out a cute noise of excitement while already starting to tidy the kitchen desk from her school stuff. "Thank you so so much for helping me. I already thought I was totally stupid when it comes to maths."

Mina smiled softly while picking up pencils and pens from the kitchen table and helping Dayun to put them into her pencil case. "It's not worth talking about. I just explained some stuff. Oh, and you're not stupid in any way. Math text problems can just be mean sometimes."

Both chuckled silently, followed by an awkward silence which was interrupted by a slight cough on Mina's side. "Is there anyone picking you up from here? It's already quite late and I don't want you to go home alone when it's already getting dark."

Dahyun took her mathematics book and crammed it unwarily into her backpack. "Yeah, Eunwoo said, he'll accompany me home." Mina noticed the sweet smile playing around the others lips, followed by her slightly blushing cheeks which made herself chuckle.

"I swear, if we had a the-cutest-couple award in school, you and Eunwoo would be winning it for sure. I already feel so lonely because of you two." Both started laughing again, even though Mina had been serious in some parts.

"I would like to tell you that you're not missing out but to be honest, I have never been happier. This man is just-" Dahyun didn't have to continue her sentence. Her sparkling eyes and her wide smile were outstanding enough for Mina to see how much in love her classmate was.

But at the same time, she hadn't been joking when she said that she had felt kinda lonely when she saw couples in her school being visibly happy with each other. It was definitely not the case that no one wanted her. Quite the contrary actually. There were always guys in school that asked her out for a coffee or something but Mina always consoled herself with the thought that she didn't have enough time for a boyfriend besides school anyways so she always turned them down while politely smiling and mumbling that she was way too busy.

All of that even though the thought of being in a relationship felt more than appealing to her and she thought about that she would like to have someone for cuddling or just having deep conversations until late at night nearly on a daily basis.
