I'm sorry for the wait! I've been trying to keep up with my school work etc, but I'm here with a new chapter!

Side note, this is a decently gory chapter so if you're uncomfortable with that stuff, skip this chapter.

Y/N'S POV

I ran towards the deserted town, sprinting into a run down convenience store.

I dropped down and hid behind the cashier counter, setting my backpack and bow down next to me. I closed my eyes, attempting to relax from the overflowing anxiety I was feeling.

I felt a stinging sensation coming from my ankle, causing me to look down at it. A large gash was evident, making me wince at the sight. Reaching for my backpack, I opened it, taking out a bottle of rubbing alcohol and bandages.

'This is going to hurt.' I thought to myself. I let out a deep breath before pouring the alcohol onto the cut. "Shit." I groaned out, feeling a rush of pain envelop my ankle. Closing the bottle, I grabbed the bandages, wrapping up my ankle.

As I was placing the alcohol back into my bag, I heard a sudden and loud noise. I grabbed the knife that was in the side of my bag before crawling towards the end of the counter. Multiple zombies began to flood into the store, making me stay as quiet as possible.

I put on my backpack and bow before crawling behind a shelf near the end of the room. I spotted the emergency exit, but noticed a zombie guarding the door. Ducking, I stalked towards it once it turned its back towards me. I quickly stood up and sliced the zombie's throat, placing it on the floor quietly.

'Fuck, they're going to hear me open the door.' I thought. Looking around, I noticed a few glass bottles scattered around the floor.

I picked one up, aiming for the window diagonal of me. I threw it with all of my strength, making it shatter the window. Every zombie began to walk towards the window, allowing me to sneakily exit the store.

I snuck towards an abandoned house, cautiously entering. Slowly closing the front door, I walked towards the kitchen. I must have opened every cabinet, attempting to find any sort of food. I let out a frustrated sigh as I found no form of nourishment.

Walking towards the fridge, I prayed to find something. Anything, really. As I opened it, I spotted two containers of water and an unopened wine bottle.

"Yeah, I'll just take the water." I said to myself. I continued to explore the house, heading towards the restroom. I walked inside, examining the room. Opening the mirror, I spotted a bottle of Tylenol and a small first aid kit.

"Thank God, I used up almost all of my bandages." I said in relief. Exiting the restroom, I looked at a table towards my right. My eyes traveled to the floor beneath it, spotting a broken picture frame. Walking towards it, I picked up the frame, staring at the photo. It was a picture of a woman and a little boy. They both held wide smiles on their faces.

I felt tears threatening to fall, making me let out a heavy sigh and place the image onto the table. Leaving the house, I wandered outside into the backyard. I quickly hid behind a wall, hearing the rustling of leaves near me. Peaking around the side of the wall, I saw two stray zombies trudging their way towards me.

"I hope it's only those two." I said to myself lowly. I reached for my bow and took out an arrow that was protruding from my backpack.

I pulled out an arrow and attached it to the bowstring. I placed the end of the arrow under my index finger and over my middle and ring finger, drawing it back. Pulling the arrow back completely, I let go and watched it pierce the middle of the zombie's forehead perfectly.
