Chapter 6 - Home

You were looking around, your mouth open in awe. Everything was so big and open and the sun felt warm on your skin.

"Big difference, huh?" Hawks asked. You gave a nod. 

"Everything is so big." You say as you continue to look around. Hawks gave a nod and looked up to the sky. 

"You should see it from a height. It would make your head explode from awe." He said. You looked at him, then at Endeavor. You now wanted to see that. 

"Endeavor?" You asked, excitement in your voice. He sighed as he walked up to a building with many doors and windows.  

"Later. Right now we have to get you into my home." He said and walked to a door. You watched as he opened it and he and Hawks walked in. You slowly walked in and saw an apartment. The entry lend into the kitchen where you saw a table and next to the kitchen was a living room. There were two doors, one to a bedroom and one to a bathroom. To you, it was huge, but compared to Endeavor, it was small and a bit cramped, but he made due with what he had.   

"Looks like you got better at cleaning." Hawks said as Endeavor took his shoes off. Hawks did also and you did the same. 

"Been on my own for a while now Hawks, give me credit." Endeavor said before he looked at the door leading to his room. 

"I wish they assigned someone else. I only have one bedroom." Endeavor said and walked into the room. He soon came out with a pillow and blanket and put it on the couch. 

"But until someone else watches you, you will have my bed. I can sleep on the couch." He said and held the bag out. You took it and looked in, seeing a new pillow, pillowcase and blanket. You looked at him. 

"Thank you." You say. He gives a nod. Hawks smiles.

"Well, sorry to leave you both, but I have work." He says and walks to the door, putting his shoes on and leaves. You don't move.

"For now, call me Enji." He said. You jumped when he spoke and gave a nod. He sighed. 

"Go into the bedroom and get settled. Tomorrow, we can get you new clothes and anything you might need." He said. You gave a nod and walked to the room he was in before and saw a bed, dresser and a door to a small closet. You took out the items, putting the case on the pillow and put it down, along with the new blanket. You heard a knock and looked. He was holding out a plate. 

"Its leftovers from yesterday, but its food." He said. You took it and sat, eating. He watched you as you ate but didn't say anything. When you finished, he took the plate and left. You stood, following and watched as he took others and cleaned them. He then turned, grabbing a pan and saw you looking. 

"What?" He asked. You were a bit scared. 

"I...I was wondering what you were doing." You whispered. He was silent. He had forgotten she was kept in a room. 

"I'm washing the dishes." He said and pointed to the sink. You walked over and saw a few others. He then put the pan in the water. 

"They have to soak. I will do them in a bit. Go and get some rest" He said and moved to the couch. You turned and saw him reading some papers as he sat. You walked over and sat in the chair across from him and watched. 

"Go rest." He said. You were silent before you stood. 

"S-Sorry. I wanted to know what you were doing. I...I won't bother you." You say and stand, walking to the room and laid down. Enji watched you and sighed, rubbing his eyes. He should have known. He stood and walked to the room. He leaned on the frame and saw that you were just laying there. 

"(y/n)." He said. You looked at him. He then waved his hand for you to follow him and walked back to the couch. You got up and followed him. He held out a paper and you took it. 

"This is called a cold case. Read it if you want but its boring." He said. You took it and sat in the chair, reading it.
