Understandings and Belts

I remembered everything so vividly.

"Look, you don't have to tell me anything. If you allow me to use my quirk on you, I can see it for myself. You don't have to say it out loud."

"Y-your quirk...?"

He hummed in response.

"Okay, Shinso. I trust you."

Maybe it was my animal instincts? But I trusted him. I wanted him to know.

"I'll place my hand on yours. You might feel a little weird at first, but I swear it won't take long." I nodded.

"Okay, here I go. If you don't like it, just remove my hand from yours. That'll remove me out of my trance."

"Okay, Shinso."

His hand was on my arm, navigating their way down to mine.

The second his hand reached mine, I started to feel a little numb. My hands also started to shake with his.

It'll only take a couple seconds. Hold on, please.

After contemplating, I could hear Shinso breathing heavily and his hands were gripping mine tightly.

I took my blindfold off to see if anything bad was happening.

Shinso's eyes were all white with tears streaming down his face. He was silent.

"Shinso?" When Shinso wasn't responding, I panicked. What was he even doing?

"Shinso! Snap out of it!"

I shook his shoulder, trying to pry his hands off mine.

"Shinso!" I screamed. Shinso's grip loosened and his eyes started to return to normal. Tears would not stop rolling.

I grabbed his shoulder, asking him questions.

"Are you okay?" His glass-like eyes stared into mine, shaking as he searched for answers. "Shinso, answer me! What happened-"

His arms made their way around me body, taking me into his embrace. I patted his back. I was confused.

"Why were you crying?" I asked him. Was it because of what he had seen?

"I'm sorry you had to go through that, Yuri." Yeah, he saw.

"What exactly did you see?"

"Everything. Everything, Yuri. I'm so sorry." He pulled me in closer, protecting me from the world.

I watched as Shinso's tears kept falling. For the first time, someone actually knows what I saw, from my point of view.

The thought alone calmed me down. At least he knows where I'm coming from.

"This happened to you at such a young age. I couldn't even imagine how you- how you must've felt." Shinso's words were muffled, since he was hugging me. I nodded.

"I'm sorry you had to see that." I said. He shook his head. "It's not your fault, Yuri." I felt him patting my back. He then lets go and fixes his shirt, wiping the tears off his face.

I watched him do everything, curious to know what he was going to do next.

"Now, how are you feeling about all of this?"

I chuckled awkwardly.

"I can't really explain it in words..." I said, rubbing my neck slightly.

He reached behind him, taking a piece of paper and a pencil, handing it to me. I stared at the items.

"You don't have to. You can draw it." I sighed out, holding onto the pencil.
