I was walking down the corridor to charms when I was yanked into an empty classroom. I felt warm lips press against mine, gentle kissing me. After a second the kiss was broken as he pulled away from me.
"Hey Freddie," I whispered, resting my head on his chest as he cradled me in his arms.
Fred nuzzled his nose into the top of my head. "I'm sorry I just really needed you for a second,"
I chuckled, "Nothing to be sorry about, I always love being with you."
"I just wish that we didn't have to hide in order to do this," Fred kissed my forehead, absentmindedly stroking my hair with his hand.
"You know we wouldn't hide it if we didn't have to"
"Yeah, I know, I know..."
I looked up at him, "Come on, we have to get to class,"
"You're right." He quickly peppered my face with little kisses. It tickled, but in a good way. "You go first."
I let my hand linger on his cheek for a second longer before grabbing my school bag and leaving the classroom. I hurried over to charms class and slid into my chair right as the bell rang. My friend greeted me with a smile, which I returned. Professor Flitwick appeared at the front of the classroom and began to call role, just as Fred Weasley burst into the room. He wore a huge grin on his face as everyone turned to stare as he made his way to his seat. He grandly sat down, waving at the people watching him. There were giggles from the Gryffindors and frowns from my fellow Slytherins. I forced myself to suppress a smile at his antics, looking down at my lap. I could feel Fred's eyes scan me, but he quickly switched his gaze to the front of the class.
The class dragged on, as usual. The knowledge that Fred was sitting just four people away, so close yet so far, distracted me the entire time. My mind kept drifting to his goofy smile, and the sparkle in his deep brown eyes. He liked to try to distract me whenever I was trying to do my homework, kissing my neck and wrapping his arms around me in an attempt to pull my attention to him. I was so deep in my thoughts about Fred that it took my friend jabbing me with her quill to alert me that class was over. I grabbed my bag and began to leave the room with my friend, as I heard two Gryffindor girl's conversation.
"He's just so hot! And he's funny, and athletic, I mean, what's not to love about him? I would let Fred rail me any time."
I felt the corners of my mouth tilt downwards in a frown.
"Seriously!" agreed the girl's friend. "I'm thinking about carrying some mistletoe around with me during Christmas to try and steal a kiss from him."
My mate rolled her eyes, leaning over to me "I swear, why are they so obsessed with that ginger? He's not even that cute,"
I shrugged, straining my ears to hear more of what the girls were saying.
"I might ask him to Hogsmead next weekend,"
"Oh my god, you totally should! Like, cause he's definitely not seeing anyone, right?"
"I don't know," said the blonde one "I overheard George and Lee talking with Ron Weasley, and they think that Fred might be dating someone. Apparently, he's been spending a lot of time in the library."
"No way, Fred Weasley in the Library? What girl is good enough to convince him to spend time in there?"
"They do have a point," my friend whispered to me, "No way he spends time in the library, even for a girl. Fred Weasley is stupid as all hell,"
"He's not that dumb," I muttered. I knew that I couldn't outright defend him, but I didn't want to just let my fellow Slytherin's run him over.
"Oh, don't tell me that you think he's funny or something," She gave me a weird look.
