[I'm in the process of putting all my pokémon related one shots in this story. This includes Stories Of The Hart and the 30 day prompt Challenge]

A/N: So my first thoughts at seeing this prompt was snow. Then it was snowstorm. Then it was Snowpoint City, then I thought I'd a blizzard, then I thought about Crystal (my OC), and then. I decided. This story isn't gunna have a happy ending.

In other news, I'm going to try and update this everyday until I finish (like I'm supposed to), but I won't promise anything because I am the queen of procrastionation.

Anyways, AI hope you enjoy!

The snow storm outside the house was raging on, the wind was loud and violent sounding. Though it was no where near as violent sounding as the yelling within the house.

The dark haired Bluenette had been starting out the window as the yelling raged on, only glancing away when her older sister, a seventeen year old blonde had walked past, not moving too far away from her younger sister as she leaned against the couch, starring out into the hallway blankly due to the yelling, her blue eyes not holding any emotion.

This continued on as both children's parents continued yelling and screaming, Crystal who was sitting in the living rooms bay window pulled her legs up, wrapping her arms around her legs and flinching when she heard a loud crash.

"Bethany..." Crystal started, looking over at her sister who hadn't even looked at her yet.

"It's fine, Crystal." The blonde spoke in a quiet voice.

"But-" the Bluenette had started, only to be cut off as Bethany had walked over to the ten year old, sitting down beside her sister and wrapping her arms around her in a hug, resting her chin on the girls head.

"It'll be okay." The teen muttered quietly, glancing into the living room where Bethany's Flareon was curled up beside her sister's Eevee, both their eye's locked on the living rooms entrance.

No one was at ease.

It only took a few moments before Crystal moved slightly in Bethany's embrace, causing the blonde to loosen her hold as her sister stood up.

"Crystal, what are you do-" she cut herself off as his younger sister had run out the living room, causing the blonde to stand up and follow after her sister.

Crystal had run into the room that was the source of the sound- the kitchen to be exact.

Broken class had littered the floor, and one glance at their blonde mother it was clear the argument had gotten violent.

In which case, her father, a dark Bluenette like Crystal starred down at their mother- towering over her, his hands around her neck.

Bethany had got into the kitchen slowly after, looking as though she was about to say something when the words died at her lips, instead letting out a barely audible breath of air.

"Daddy?" It was Crystal who spoke, fear was clear as day in her voice, sounding small and helpless as she had walked forward and began desperately pulling at her dad's shirt, her eyes beginning to tear up.

Though, in response, the childs father had whipped around, letting go of their mother as his rage was not directed at his youngest child.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT!?" He was quick to yell, bending down so he was face to face with the terrified child.

Crystal was now fiddling with her fingers, her eye's locked on her father's icey blue eye's.

"I- I-" The girl started with a stutter, tests freely falling down her face. "I don't want you to hurt mom."

The man started for a second, her cold gaze not giving any emotion for a moment before he snorted, grabbing his daughters wrist.

"Again you choose to talk back." He muttered angerly, beginning to tug her daughter along, leaving their mother who was now sitting on the floor, and her sister who could only helplessly watch her sister be dragged along before going to sit beside her mother.

"You would of thought you learned you lesson last time." Her father's voice morphed into a growl as he opened the back door, the cold winds from the Blizzard instantly hitting them both. This however, didn't stop the man as he continued to drag her daughter outside into the snow, pulling her along as he muttered under her breath in anger. At this point, it was clear to Crystal how intoxicated he was.

"MAYBE THIS WILL TEACH YOU TO TALK BACK." The ban finally yelled over the cold winds, stepped towards a old shed, to which he pulled it open, dragging his daughter into the shed and grabbing his other wrist and forcing her close, her tone of voice leaking with venom as he spoke.

"Don't you EVER tell me what to do AGAIN." he spat before slamming the shred door and locking it from the outside so she couldn't get out.

°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°

It was terrifyingly, sickening how often this happened.

It had only been ten minutes since Bethany watched her father drag her younger sister outside, (something that seemed to happen at least once every one to two weeks) before barging back outside and heading into the basement, music begining to blast from the speakers shortly after.

Their mother had fled to her bedroom shortly after, looking upset and utterly defeated. She also had glass in her skin she had to take out.

Bethany, at this point didn't know what to do. She felt so helpless as she walked to the window by the back door and stared at the shed, the Blizzard having already covered up all the foot prints, destroying all traces that her father and sister had been out there.

Bethany quickly shook her head, letting out muffled sigh, forcing herself to remain calm as she turned around, glancing at the Eevee and Flareon that were now starting at her.

"Let's get upstairs." She muttered, reaching down to pick up Snowflake, the little brown Eevee that belong to her sister before heading up the stairs.

Though, her Flareon only watched after them before looking at the little Pokémon flap on the door.

The fire type had a different idea.

°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°

The Flareon in question had slipped out of the little flap, glancing from left to right as she squinted against the harsh winds of the Blizzard, the frosty cold winds stinging her ears as she began to trek threw the snow.

It took longer then expected, but the Flareon soon made it to the old shed, the quiet sound of sobbing barely audible over the roaring wind.

The Pokémon had went around the shed, hiding a hole that was only just big enough for her to slip through.

The fire type glanced around for a moment in the dark before taking a few steps forward, taking notice of the girl wrapped in a blanket Bethany had purposely put in here after the second time this had happen.

The Flareon made no noise as it stepped forward, nudging the girls hand, to which she instantly moved the blanket slightly to allow the Pokémon to crawl on to her lap.

"Ace.." The girl muttered into the Pokémon a fur, letting out a small sob as she wrapped her arms around the eeveelution.

°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°

No one would have been able to expect that that morning, of all morning that it would be their father who went out to the shed before Bethany had a chance to go get her.

No one outside the siblings saw the pure rage in their fathers eye's at the sight of the Flareon curled up on Crystals lap.

It was safe to say, no one saw the poor Flareon again.
