School and Nightmares

Corpse's / Atticus' pov
It was around time I had to enroll Raven into school, even if I myself didn't graduate middle school, I want the best for Raven. I'm deciding to just enroll her at the nearest public school so that way she wouldn't only talk to me and had done social interaction and be stuck at home with a computer all the time. Since it's now November nearing December, it would suck to be the new kid in the middle of the year, but I better start her now than never.

I walked over to Ray from my desk, she was sitting on the bed drawing. "Ray, I gotta enroll you to school, we're going to the school tomorrow alright?" I sighed, she nodded with an emotionless face and went back to drawing. I sat on the bed next to her, wrapped my arms around her and laid down behind her as her tiny figure sat and drew. She leaned back on my chest a bit and I closed my eyes, I was nervous for Raven, what if...she was bullied? put down a grade? the teachers would be mean or suck?

I didn't know, I just felt something would happen.

It was now 10 pm and Ray yawned and slid off the bed to put the art supplies she used back on a table. She quickly returned and jumped back on the bed, laying down and sliding in next to me as I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her head. We had already showered, brushed our teeth, and dressed into our pajamas earlier and were now going to sleep. Today was normal, stayed at home and filmed and normal things like that.

Time skip to tomorrow morning
I yawned and sat up, Ray was still next to me asleep and it was 6 am. A bit early to wake up since it was Saturday and we didn't have to go to the school till 4 pm. I laid back down on my side facing Ray's back. I stroked her short fluffy black hair, it was soft and untangled, she was so adorable sleeping. Her face was so cute like a soft sleeping kitten on a fluffy cotton cloud.

I smiled and felt my face get a bit warm, I kissed her cheeks and just closed my eyes. Life was okay...it was pretty good actually.

I was just thinking while closing my eyes when I heard Raven whimpering, I was starting to assume it was a nightmare. She jolted up and awake, crying silently in the dark. "Woah, woah baby are you okay?" I asked worried, she shook her head no and just dived into my chest hugging me. I instantly hugged her back tightly, "Did you have a nightmare?" I asked quietly. I felt her head nod in my chest, I wanted her to tell me what was wrong and also that she could trust me so I said "Can you tell me what it was about? You don't have to, but you might feel better".

"o-okay...it was a-about the orphanage like n-normal" she said stuttering and her voice trembling. "Wait, like normal? what does that mean?" I asked even more concerned. "I have nightmares almost e-every night but this one was really s-scary" she replied, "Oh poor baby, I'm sorry Ray, I'm sorry for not helping you out with this" I said feeling angry at myself for not noticing those nights and helping my poor Ray.
"I-it's okay dad I forgive y-you" she said lifting her head and giving me a kiss on the nose. "How come you didn't tell before though?" I asked, "I d-didn't wanna wake you up in the middle of the night when y-you were sleeping, sorry" she said.

"Aw no, don't be sorry, just tell me okay? I'm always here for you you know?" she nodded in response. I sighed, pulling her into another warm hug again for a bit. "Well it's a little early so let's go back to sleep yeah?" I said, she nodded and we both laid down.

Time skip to 9 am
Raven's / your pov
I woke up from my dream of being in a safer place this time and sat up. I looked to my side to see Mr. Corpse sitting up on his phone while looking at me (Mr. Corpse is cute do I'm bringing it back), "Morning again Ray" he said smiling, I smiled back. "Wanna get some breakfast now?" he asked, I nodded.

I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and splash water on my face to wake up more, after that I saw Mr. Corpse in the kitchen. I sat down at the kitchen table smelling the delicious air, soon he placed a plate in front of me that had (yo fav breakfast or whatevah) on it. I smiled and thanked Mr. Corpse as he replied with a 'You're welcome' and a smile back. Then we dug in and ate.

After we finished eating, Mr. Corpse took the plates and put them in the sink to wash later, we both washed our hands and watched a movie since we had time.

After watching (your fav movie) it was 3 pm so we got ready to go, I dressed up in a big baggy (fav color) hoodie, baggy jeans, white crew socks, black high top converse, and a black beanie with cat ears that Mr. Corpse told me to wear.

I walked out into the living room to see Mr. Corpse sitting in the couch with his phone in hand. I walked up to him and he looked at me, "Aww you look so cute" he said in a baby voice and patted my head. I smiled back and he chuckled a bit, he stood up and we walked out the apartment to the car.

After arriving at the school, we walked into the front office. There was some staff people and we walked into another room which was an office with chairs, a desk, and a lady sitting at the desk. We sat at the chairs and faced the lady in front of us, she smiled "Hello! are you here to enroll your daughter?" she chirped asking. Mr. Corpse nodded "Yeah, this is my little girl Raven and she is seven" he said.

"Great! She would be going into 2nd grade so we'll register her into the system but we have some paperwork and questions for you first, alright?" she said smiling, she was very peppy that's for sure. "Yeah, that's alright" he replied, "Great" she said. I just sat and daydreamed waiting to leave. After about half an hour, Mr. Corpse shook my shoulder and said "It's time to go now, we're done here".

I nodded and hopped off the seat as Mr. Corpse stood up and held my hand as we walked out the building. "So, since it's Saturday, you'll be starting school next week on Monday okay?" he told me, I nodded. We got back in the car and started driving again, "So we're going to see my friend today okay?" he said, I didn't know we were going to see someone today but I guess it was alright. "O-okay" I replied quietly.
