yekaterina sighed as she sat down at the marble table. she propped her elbows on the table, clasping her hands. at the opposite end, sat her father staring down her and her actions carefully. he was fully aware she had the power to bite her hand and transform into her titan form and kill all his men in the room, along with him. though, fyodor released his worries when he remembered that when humans transform into titan shifters, they have no memory of doing so. therefore, there could've been no possible grudge yekaterina held against her father, or so fyodor thought.fyodor cleared his throat, "yekaterina." he addressed, although his daughter still did not meet his eyes. her gaze was fixated on the table.
"i am going to assign you to a very, important mission. this mission lies the fate of our nation and marley. i trust my most formidable daughter to fulfill this mission." he stopped, waiting for any objections or outbursts from his daughter.
the silence in the room was cue to start explaining the mission, "you are to board a ship to paradis and find the walls that the subjects of ymir inhabit, of course, you will be given a map to do so. rumors have been speculated an anti-marleyan group has already reached paradis and could possibly be spreading information to paradis, that shouldn't be told. you will gain the trust of both the eldians and the anti-marleyan volunteers. then, swiftly assassinate every single member of this organization, but leave the leader. her name is yelena, we would like to capture her and bring her back to marley where she will be given her rightful punishment."
"you will meet your sister, mikasa ackerman. as you know, akari isn't your mother. i was once a 'traveller' on paradis, a month before mikasa's mother had met her husband and had mikasa, she had you. i then took you from her and went back to marley." yekaterina bit her lip in confusion for a second, but her confused expression faltered, not wanting to talk to question her father.
fyodor took out a scroll and rolled it to yekaterina across the table, where it stopped as it hit her elbows. "this is the map you will need. oh and also, do not worry about your sister. she indeed safe, with your mother. she is aware you will be deployed on a long mission—"
fyodor was cut off by his daughter. she abruptly let out an airy sadistic laugh, "you don't think i know father?" her gaze finally shifted from the table to straight to her fathers eyes.
a sick expression that was almost unreadable laid on yekaterina's face, that only deepened when she saw her fathers fearful expression. "i know what you did last night, don't be fucking stupid!" she suddenly yelled, standing up from her seat. she leaned on the table towards her father, her arms now extended, along with her long black nails scraping against the marble table in anger.
although her words were saying otherwise, fyodor noticed a tinge of hurt in her eyes. he alarmingly raced through all the possible altercations that could have led to yekaterina remembering the events of her shifting, "it's not possible you remember that, how—" fyodor started, only to be yelled at by his daughter again.
"is that all you're fucking worrying about?" she questioned, in a harsh tone. her angered facial expression melted suddenly, "could it be, you're–" she smirked devilishly as she looked back at her father straight in the eyes,
"scared of me?" she mocked, teasingly. she clicked her tounge, "though i'll give it to you– you were planning that moment all your life, hadn't you?"
fyodor didn't respond. a struck of betrayal rang throughout yekaterina's chest for a second. although their family's dynamic was strange and unlike others, her father was the most present in her life. he took her out and taught her many things. who could've known he was planning such a gruesome thing all his life, to her unknowing?
"lillith. who is lillith?" she sternly asked, recalling the memory of her father calling her lillith as he forced the titan serum into her.
"it is your birthname. yekaterina, is your noble name." he answered, his voice shaking slightly. she hummed, taking in all the new information that had been spilt to her.
she clicked her tongue sourly shaking her head, "i wont kill you. i'll fulfill the mission, only for marleys sake." she seemingly read fyodor's thoughts, as he was on the edge of his seat sweating at the thought of; any sudden move from her and everyone in the room could die instantly.
she smirked to herself, knowing she wasn't true to her words.
