Guys!! I just wrote this, and I'm publishing it!! Do tell me how it is...Vote and comment too, please!!

The attendant who sat on the nearest sofa jumped up at the sight of me.

"Miss Parker, We weren't expecting you so early," She said, unsure of her overly-polite voice

"My pilot decided to have an early take-off" I replied without much enthusiasm

" Mis-"

"Call me Alicia-" I glanced over to her name tag so swiftly, she mustn't have noticed "-Liz"

She smiled warmly at the mention of her name. I returned the smile a little

I think I'm gonna like her, I thought

"Uh-um Alicia, Can I take your suitcase?" She asked nervously at using my first name

" I think I'll manage," I told her.

She looked stunned that I had refused her assistance. Her mouth fell slightly open. I guess she was used to having spoiled brats who couldn't carry a finger without help

"Take a picture, It'll last longer," I said smugly to her.

Blood rushed up to her face as she stuttered " S-s orry Alicia"

I smiled slightly at her

But the smile rubbed immediately off my face at the "Tiiiing" sound of my phone. Which meant Another message.

Andrew
Enough Chit-chat, get to your room and hurry up with the documents. We need them by Friday!

I internally sighed and asked the attendant to give me the key to my room, which she did with much enthusiasm.

"ANGELA! ANGELA CREWS! YOU COME RIGHT HERE!" I distinctively heard a woman's shrill cry.

I opened the door to my room in concern to what was happening, only to find many other annoyed people peeking out of their doors in curiosity.

" What's going on?" I asked the nearest attendant

"It's the Prime minister's daughter," The attendant told me.

"What happened to her?"

"She doesn't like being stuck in the hotel.....She's only 8, and her father gives her no attention, she sometimes sneaks out of the hotel to go to her father"

"Oh"

"I feel really sorry for her sometimes, after all, she's only 8, anyone her age would want a father's attention, poor girl" The attendant sighed

I closed my door, but couldn't get the thought out of me

Look's like I'm not the only one with daddy issues.

...

I made my way through the hotel, pausing only to let some waiters with trays of heavy food pass by.

I looked around the hotel's crowded restaurant and immediately regretted my decision of not taking room service. Look's like I wasn't the only one who wanted some company for eating.

But this was too much company. I thought with a shake of my head.

I sat down at a far corner, someplace where no one would see unless of course, they were looking for some privacy.

It took me a few seconds to realize I wasn't alone.

A small girl, about 7or 8 was hunched against the wall, with her knees up to her chin, and crying earnestly

"Hello," I said like an idiot

She looked up at me with surprise and immediately started begging "Please don't tell mama I'm here! I know she told you to look for me, but If you take me to her she's gonna hurt me! Please I'm begging you, don't tell her!"

I looked at her tear-stained beautifully cute face flabbergasted "I'm not gonna tell your mom you're here"

"Really?" she said, surprised for the second time in 2 minutes.

"Yeah.. I don't even know who your mom is......."

She was shocked again"

" Pinky-promise you're not gonna take me to mama?" she said, holding out her pinky finger

" Pinky-promise," I told her attaching mine with hers

"What's your name?" She asked me

" Alicia. Alicia parker" I told her my full name, although it was quite unnecessary

"Yours?"

"Angela, Angela Crews"

I masked my shocked expression with an uneasy smile....she was the prime minister's daughter.

But regarding her face, I could tell I didn't hide my shock very well.

"You know me" she whispered

"Yeah... I do.... " I whispered back.

"But that doesn't change anything," I told her quickly as if to reassure her.

" I just heard your mom calling for you. Doesn't mean I'm gonna tell her you're here"

She seemed reassured enough for that.

" Would you like to eat anything?" I asked her, judging her petite figure, she seemed hungry

" Yes please," she said politely

And so she ate. She ate as if she had never eaten before. It made me feel pity for her. And I realized that's how the daughters of rich or famous people were treated. They were starved in order for them not to get fat. It reminded me of my own nanny growing up. She would never give me so much of a drop of fat food.

" I'll take you to my room, you can stay there for the night if you feel uncomfortable going back to your mom," I told her confidently

Just as we were heading to my room, "Tiiiiiiiing" a message came.

ANDREW

Leave the girl, she's not your concern

I quickly typed him back

ME

She's not your concern either. I'll take her to my room, She won't hamper your threatening"

ANDREW

I'm telling you for the last time, she's the prime minister's daughter. She might know too much.

ME

She's only 8, she wouldn't understand even if she did. Look, your problem is the money isn't it? You're getting it. You don't have to concern yourself with who I take to my room.

Andrew saw the message or so it said "seen" but he didn't reply back.

So I took it as a yes
